There are not enough word to describe all the tiny details that went into the perfection of this locations! Stan met us, even though we arrived late at night and in the rain, to greet us and make sure we got all settled in and felt comfortable and safe. All rooms were decorated, supplied and accommodated to meet any needs you might have! The living room was the perfect cozy spot to watch the fall waves on the lake. Every guest in our party noticed new details and we all shared our disbelief that our hosts could possibly think of everything! Our only wish is we could have stayed longer. The checkout process was quick, easy and all the things you would do as a good guest anyways. We loved our stay and are already planning our next trip!

We had a great 35th year of girls getaway. The house is so charming, well stocked, great outdoor space. Beautiful views eagles and many birds. Wish we could stay longer!

My husband and I take both sides of our immediate family on a long weekend getaway every summer and this was by far our favorite. The communication with Kim and Stan was excellent. The check in process was seamless. The house was very clean. And THE VIEW was incredible. We saw beautiful sunsets and pretty much spent all of our time in the backyard and on the back deck. The outdoor setup couldn’t have been more perfect! The neighborhood was very quiet, but also close enough that we could easily get to the strip so the grandparents could watch the kiddos and the parents could go out for a bit! There were so many little things within the house that really added a “special touch” to our experience and make it stand out from other places we have been. We have been trying to find a property and location that we love so that we can just book the same house every year for our trip and I think this will be that place!

I can’t say enough good things about this home and/or the hosts. The hosts were wonderful and were easy to communicate with. We were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the kitchen was. My husband was very excited to use the outdoor kitchen and it did not disappoint. The location of the home is stunning. We never wanted to leave. We will definitely be returning.

This house was just what we needed for the 5 of us. It could have easily held 5 more!
It's so nice to walk into a property and need absolutely nothing other than your clothes and groceries. It was very well appointed and maintained!

We had 6 ladies for a girl's week. The house and property, were perfect. Close to covered bridges and wineys. Kim the owner was great. Such a beautiful house right on Lake Erie. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful house and such a comfortable stay! We had a family get together and everyone enjoyed it so much. Enjoyed the views from the house. It was a little cold so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor much. But the stay was so comfortable we loved staying home the entire weekend. Kids loved the board games. The views from the sun room was beautiful

First of all, the owners are very responsive and quickly answered any questions we had. We are a group of 11 ladies to get together once a year. We had the good fortune to find this home a year ago and rented it a second time! It was perfect last year and even got better this year with a built-in outdoor kitchen! There are six bedrooms, a very large dining room table, an extremely comfortable living room and a wraparound outdoor porch with lots of tables, seating and a beautiful view of the lake! There is nothing missing from this house! The beds are So comfortable. The bedding is very nice and there are phone chargers in almost every room. This is just a spectacular house and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it. You will not be disappointed if you stay here and we have already booked it again for our annual getaway next year! Thank you Kim and Stan for sharing your beautiful home with us!

My friends and I have been going to Ashtabula for 3 yrs and love this house. We have been to many locations and have stayed at many places but this is by far the best one. It has everything you need plus!! The owners are so very kind and helpful. I would recommend this house anytime.

Stunning views and a lovely nicely decorated and appointed home made our brief stay here just perfect. The owners are great and very welcoming. I won’t go on and on but if u have a chance to book it, do it, u won't regret it! Wr hope to go back next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We took our senior girls Girl Scout troop for one last getaway and it exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and perfect accommodations. I absolutely loved the antique furniture throughout the home. The property was exceptional. We spent a lovely relaxing weekend enjoying the company of one another. The town had so many cute and eclectic little shops that were fun to look at and explore. The neighborhood was very pleasant. This location is perfectly set right on the water and provided stunning sunsets. The hime included absolutely everything one could need and more than most properties I’ve experienced. The owners literally thought of everything. We all were so pleased with this property and would definitely recommend.

A Perfect Lake House
This home is just wonderful! It was the perfect location for our annual book club weekend. We've stayed many places but this is by far the best. It is so charming, beautifully cared for, clean, nicely appointed and very roomy. The linens and other touches were hotel-like. And the setting is perfect - views of Lake Erie from most all windows, great decks and a cozy screened in porch. We loved making a fire in the firepit and enjoyed great meals around the huge dining room table. Karen was so easy to deal with and very responsive to any and all of our questions. We would love to come back next year.

Heaven on the lake
My book club has been getting together annually at different rental homes for about 18 years. This is by far the best home we’ve been at. The view of the lake is spectacular! The home is spotlessly clean and there are so many extra touches. The outdoor space (decking with lots of tables and chairs) is perfect!
The kitchen has everything you could ask for including a basket of cookies! Lots of thought by the owners who were very responsive to everything.
Our only wish would be a second refrigerator perhaps in the basement? We kept coolers on the deck instead of refrigerating beverages so we made do. Or perhaps we need to bring less food for our group of 11. 😍 You won’t regret staying here. Even a large library of DVD’s. We already booked for next year!

Lake side experience
My family loved the house! The attention to detail was obvious. The kitchen really is fully stocked. There was a big bag of ice in the freezer! A welcome tray with snacks. New toothbrushes and toiletries in the bathroom! The antiques were exquisite. The decor enhanced the lake side experience, loved them all. There were 13 of us and the dinning room actually accommodated everyone! The beds were cozy, made with quality linen. There is a beautiful gas fireplace. You would swear it was real wood burning. We did have trouble lighting the fireplace, however the owners came right over and lit it for us. They were very accessible when needed. We enjoyed the sunset in the sun room. The view doesn't disappoint. We took advantage of the big grill and appreciated the provided chopped firewood for the nice size fire pit.

It was a good property. Good instructions. I wish there was more communication from the property manager when we did the booking. She did communicate the week of the stay. But it had all the amenities that we needed. March is not the good time to go to GOTL because everything is closed. After May is the good time to visit. Overall enjoyed the stay.

This is the best vacation we had, even though the weather was cold. The house was beautiful and had everything you could ever ask for provided. The owners were so kind and helpful. We have traveled as a group for many years to different places but agreed to return next year. It was great.

Gorgeous property overlooking Lake Erie - you should put more photos of the lake access as the whole thing is spectacular! We had a ball playing lawn games and gathering around the fire pit in the evenings. The house has tons of character as it is a 200-year-old farmhouse that has been added to and updated many times. Great sunroom and patio, plenty of room to spread out in the living room and dining room (we had a group of seven). There's not a ton to do in and around Ashtabula (especially during the Plague Times) but we were perfectly content to hang out at the house. Enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!
