Everything! The large and beautiful family home is well restored by the owner, Andreas; my studio (number 5) was pretty, with a terrace. The large garden was very pleasant, and ending the day in the jacuzzi was great! The peace and beauty of the house and the garden did a lot of good in the middle of the crowd of vacationers. But what made the difference even more was Andreas himself: very welcoming, friendly, and of great generosity, always listening to your slightest wishes, and adding surprises such as an unexpected cake, etc. Thank you very much, Andreas!

Rafalia's Mansion is beautiful - there has been a lot of care and attention to ensure its historical integrity. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had many antiques. Our linen was changed every day and we were supplied with dressing gowns and slippers. There were other facilities, like a sizeable gym and laundry service. The garden smelled of jasmine in the evening. It was very quiet yet it was also very close to the main harbour. Andreas went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - we had fresh water in our room every day, lovely toiletries and he even got us cakes when he found out it was my birthday. I highly recommend Rafalia's Mansion.

There was nothing to dislike - it was a magical experience. However, you should bear in mind that this is an old property and you need to be gentle with it!

This was one of our favorite stays EVER!!!! Andreas is the most incredible host: charming, knowledgeable about the island, full of ideas, and so funny. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Andreas surprised us with a great bottle of wine and desserts that he graciously left in our room. We absolutely cannot wait to go back. oh yes, the room and grounds were spectacular. Run, don’t walk to Rafalias Mansion.

This is a perfect place to stay with a gorgeous garden, beautiful and well-AC’d rooms, lots of amenities, and great recommendations/access to the island. It is hard to get a reservation here so the earlier the better.

I was vey happy with my stay here. Andreas really has thought of everything and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. Great location just a few minutes walk from the port. Wifi worked well. Very clean. I really loved the garden, which was a nice place to relax

I have nothing to complain about at all

Everything went very smoothly from the moment we arrived on Hydra. The host (Andreas) was very responsive and gave us great instructions to reach the place which was easy to find and pretty close to the harbour which makes it a very convenient location. The place is so peaceful, the garden is carefully being taken care of, the rooms are tastefully decorated and freshly renovated. And the pictures really don’t do the place justice- it is truly a little piece of paradise! Additionally, Andreas is the kindest and warmest host. He is always available by phone/ text message and to be spotted around the garden and ready to answer any questions one may have. He had also prepared a map and some instructions with places/ beaches/ restaurants to visit on Hydra and the recommendations did not disappoint. We had such an amazing time that we decided to extend our stay. This place can only be recommended and we will definitely be back!

My fiance and I enjoyed a lot our stay at Rafalias Mansion! We were kindly greeted by Andreas, an amazing host that is very friendly, kind and makes the extra step for his guests. Andreas also gave us nice tips on where to dine, which places to visit. We had nice breakfast in a a tray waiting for us, coffee, juice and milk in the fridge. The second day we were also surprised by tasty treats waiting for us in the fridge. Our room was super clean, very well maintained, we had everything we needed and more! The garden in the property is also amazing. The mansion is located in a quiet neighbourhood, max a 5 minute walk from the port. We would definitely like to stay again at Rafalias Mansion next time we visit Hydra island!

The host (Andreas) is very charming hospitable, and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The house had an old dignified air about it, and Andreas was able to share many stories and anecdotes about it and the town of Hydra in general. The private garden if the property is wonderful, with plenty of shade, and also has a Jacuzzi. We enjoyed our stay there very much (all the more for Andrea's hospitality) and very warmly recommend it to anyone looking for accomodation in Hydra.

The best property to stay at in all of Greece, a hidden gem! Nothing can top my stay at this beautiful location! Very spacious, relaxing, totally equipped for all your needs, truly an above and beyond stay, I must come back next year!

We have travelled all over the world and Rafalias Mansion is one of those places you are going to remember for the rest of your life. The charm, the design, the warmth and kindness of Andreas (the owner) the lovely housekeeper, cats, butterflies, roses, orange and lemon trees in the magical garden. You can take the oranges straight off the tree and squeeze them for breakfast! Andreas really is the most hospitable host we have ever met he is a true gentlemen and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. At Rafalias mansion you get the feeling that your “at home” and it is Andreas’ family home, it is a beautiful museum filled with history and an air of serene peacefulness. I have never slept as well and felt so relaxed. This place, the host and beauty of the Hydra island exceeded our expectations Everything was perfect and again thank you Andreas for making our time so wonderful.

The property is clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need, whilst the garden is an amazing place to relax and spend time. Andreas is a brilliant host. He helped with recommendations about where to eat, where to go and all the secrets of the island. Always happy to help and smiling. Because of this hotel and my experience I will definitely return next year and will recommend it to my friends back home. Thank you for a wonderful time.
