Questa accogliente e appartata casita ha una privacy totale su 1. 4 acri di proprietà di una casa completamente recintata in una delle strade più belle / percorribili a Cardiff. Cottage was perfect for 2 people and a small dog, quiet, peaceful everything you needed for a couple of weeks. The owners were very nice and helpful if we needed anything. Will probably stay there again.

Small but very quiet, bed very comfortable, bathroom tight but clean, large shower, private backyard patio, large walk-in closet, small and tidy kitchen, nice neighborhood, owners easy to deal with. We would definitely use again!

I loved my stay at this lovely Spanish-style casita! I spent time here while house hunting throughout SoCal. I worked online (Zoom sessions no problem!) from the desk inside, which I positioned to look out the windows/French doors to the lovely surrounding garden. The property has beautiful tropical landscaping, including an avocado tree in the patio area private to this cottage. The neighborhood is great for running and walking, and there is a peek-a-boo ocean view from the kitchen (and around the neighborhood). The w/d is awesome for longer stays. It's the perfect homebase from which to explore. The owners are wonderful people who were so kind and accommodating. There is a 3-4 bar 5G ultra-wide band signal here. I appreciated having that as a backup, if needed, for my work. I am grateful for my time here.

The casita is a jewel: quiet, comfortable, lovely. We really felt at home. And the spacious and tranquil deck area got a lot of use. Overall, the whole experience was beyond even what we had hoped for. Thanks!

Old building with mini kitchen, no dishwasher or dish drain; no counter space adequate for meal prep, pots pans utensils etc suitable for camping trip maybe.
Micro bathroom, had to turn sideways to get in shower, toilet about 1 ft hi, tight squeeze between sink and wall.
No table to eat inside; nice outside seating and ambiance but it was usually too cold to eat there.
Cabin warm, tv streaming services only. Very slow internet. Something bangs on roof when there is wind.
Would not stay again.

This property is very cute and charming. Located in a very nice neighborhood, very safe, on a very beautiful property. The casita is separate from the main house and has a nice private outdoor area with beautiful mature trees and a deck - it is not fenced in separately from the rest of the property. It is nicely decorated inside and is perfect for 2 people (and a small dog - as we had). Love that it's dog friendly. The few improvements that could be made are (1) there is no A/C so I would not recommend staying here during a warm week as it was really way too hot inside. The owner was super responsive and nice and had a fan dropped off which helped a bit, but it really needs A/C to be bearable on those hot days, and (2) the mattress could use some upgrading. Other than that it really is a charming detached studio that I would recommend, especially for couples bringing their fur babies.

The Perfect Getaway
I absolutely fell in love with this place! The location is great, the space has everything you need, and the garden patio was the perfect place to relax. The bed was comfy, too! I loved having a kitchen available so I could make dinner after a day at the beach instead of having to go out for food. Jen and Seth's attention to detail makes this place such a gem. Definitely staying here the next time I get the chance!

perfect getaway
The casita is part of a gated property in a beautiful neighborhood in Encinitas. The owners made the check in super easy, they are laid back yet very responsive to any potential "issue". We had a wonderful time there - highly recommend!

Perfect weekend stay
This property was exactly as listed. Beautiful casita at a quiet gated home. Casita is detached from the main house giving it a more secluded feeling than other rentals in the area. Owners made it very easy to check in and out. We slept very comfortably with the windows open. Never heard anything while sleeping. Great location for beaches, biking, sightseeing and most important to us, the Del Mar race track. We look forward to staying at this property again. 5+ stars! Thanks Jen & Seth

Great Getaway!
What a great spot with fantastic hosts! Jen and Seth were so sweet upon arrival. The casita is perfect - tons of special touches, full kitchen, great patio. It’s just minutes from the beach so you can dabble in Cardiff or Encinitas or just enjoy the quiet on property. Highly recommend this spot! It was a great weekend away from the city!

Very clean and super cozy!
This place was in the perfect neighborhood for our little getaway. The street is beautiful, peaceful, safe and very runner/biker friendly. The casita was super cozy and very clean. We loved having a little porch off the side too. The owner, Jen, was very quick to handle the couple extra requests I had. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in town.
