Cuisine had great choices, amazingly prepared and staff took care to ensure guests were well taken care of and that every detail was attended to. Wholeheartedly recommend this - proprietor Mike is a welcoming person and cared for us like family. Ruth prepared a scrumptious dinner and it was delicious and filling. Lasagne is beyond well done!
The weather did not quite cooperate but the surrounding vistas, the lake, the interaction with staff made the trip wonderful - restful and we can't wait to go back. This time bringing more friends, colleagues and family to share the splendour.

We loved the room. It had been renovated recently and was perfect for us during our stay. Mike, at the desk, was friendly and very helpful providing us with other ideas with things to do and see in the Bancroft area.
There was nothing that we did not like. We had a wonderful experience at the resort and would stay there again.

Lodge was at the lake side, with its own dock where you can sit (and even swim)
- saw sunset over the lake, glorious
Kitchen was well equipped, we cooked a meal and had breakfasts there
Could sit in lounge and relax with a drink
All rooms in lodge are small (what else would you expect)
Bedroom: one side of bed against a wall, which can be inconvenient
6 / 10Nella media·ago 2026
Overpriced meal options when all else is closed.
