Everything was very clean, convenient and comfortable!

I was lucky to be alone in the dormitory room, but maybe if there had been other guests I would have felt a little bit crowded and lacking of privacy inside the bedroom.

In a country setting, Guesthouse Oyado was perfect for me - it’s like being in Napa Valley of California - thousands of gorgeous cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, and apple blossoms that will soon give way to delicious fruits for the summer. Simply a spectacular Spring experience and a local train runs between the city and Iizaka every 20 minutes; so convenient!!! The Guesthouse is a wonderful Japanese living experience in someone’s home. Mr Mizuki was an amazing and wonderful host!!! We shared travel stories, meals, tea times together, and even took me to tour 2 fabulous places of Japan - Ouchi-juku (200-yr old Japanese enclave) and Aizuwakamatsu Castle!!! The drive was spectacular, seeing Japan’s mountains, fields of cherry/peach/apple blossoms, and nice little towns along the way!!! Mr Mizuki even was kind enough to drop me off at the bus stop 2 catch my bus for Sendai!!! It was an amazing, wonderful, and relaxing stay and experience at Mr Mizuki’s Guesthouse Oyado Iizaka home. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors!!! Or, if you just want to relax, enjoy a bit of nature, go to the city for the day but be back for the relaxing country charm at night. Thanks a million for an unforgettable vacation, Mr Mizuki; I would gladly stay at your home again the next time I’m back in Fukushima!!!
