Great place and enjoyed everything about location and will seek to stay again-

I needed a peaceful stay for a night, and Becky & Dan's house was just that. They are so gracious & hospitable. I wish I had more time to enjoy this beautiful location. This home is amazing & the views from the back are breathtaking. You get a true sense of God's beauty both outside & inside this home. Hope to come back again with my wife.

Our stay with Ken & Becky was terrific! Their home and property were BEAUTIFUL, the space was made private and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the opportunities for conversation with them was wonderful as well. If we find ourselves back in the area we would certainly visit and stay again!

Beautifully constructed home sitting on a ridge looking across to another ridge. Mother bear and her cubs were about. Slept with the windows open each night. Easy access to Asheville as needed. Wonderful well water to drink and shower in. Becky and Ken were great hosts and the breakfasts were wonderful. Would definitely stay here again with my wife.

The property was a bed and breakfast. The owners lived downstairs but spent some time talking to us to give us info about the property. They were personable and kind and friendly. The home was amazing as well as the view from the deck. We would choose this property to stay at if we went to Asheville to visit again.

Beautiful Handmade home lovely views and a lovely host couple. Great location just off the blue ridge parkway and minutes from all Asheville has to offer . Ken and Becky gave us interesting recommendations which we followed and not disappointed. Thank you for sharing your time and home .

My wife and I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay! The house is absolutely beautiful just like it's location. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Becky and her husband were very kind and friendly, and made us feel very comfortable. They were wonderful and we'd go back in a heartbeat!

The property was amazing, beautiful, clean, private, and conveniently located to everywhere we wanted to go. Becky and Ken were wonderful. They were very accommodating and personable. They did EVERYTHING to make our weekend getaway perfect. They even stayed up for us when our plane was delayed to make sure we made it in, could rent a car, and could find the house at 1:30 a.m. We highly recommend staying here. Hopefully we can come back and stay again.

The Swensons' Whimsical Mountain Retreat was simply splendid. It later occurred to me that it reminded me of Elrond's Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings. Basically, it's the kind of place that Elrond might have built as a getaway from all the hubbub of an Elvish stronghold. It is high up on the side of a small mountain, overlooking a secluded valley. Except for the Swensons' immediate neighbors, no other dwellings are even visible in any direction except for two structures at the top of an opposing ridge over a half-mile away. The air is clear, the trees on the mountain are beautiful, and the birds really don't want you to know about it. Our visit was all-too-short, but like all memories of Elven dwellings, the recollection of our stay will remain clear and sweet. I should provide one warning for flatland visitors such as ourselves. Having never lived in mountainous regions, neither my wife nor I were at all comfortable traversing the upward serpentine road that brings you to the Swensons' home. We were continually astonished at how the local residents managed driving up and down the mountain roads like so many sure-footed mountain goats in 4-wheel-drive vehicles. I am sure that we irritated more than one local driver who had the misfortune to come up behind us as we tiptoed up and down those roads. So, come prepared to don your driving courage, or hire a local driver.

The hosts were absolute gems! Their communication was efficient and helpful. The suite we stayed in was nothing short of charming! The mountain decor made me feel completely at home. Breakfast with the hosts was also delightful as they are wonderful and so kind! Next time we come to Asheville we definitely will stay here again! :)
