Great friendly staff and management…we met the owner and got to chat with him. It’s a small place, only 12 rooms, but very clean, nicely decorated and well thought out. Plenty of hot water, modern bathroom with nice large towels and comfortable robes.

Breakfast was self serve, toast and jam and coffee, fruit and yogurt and cereal available. I wouldn’t mind maybe some boiled eggs, cheese, pastries, fresh juice…just a slight elevation of breakfast. But it was still perfectly adequate.

The property and the rooms were new, well set up, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Generally, the place is noisy. First, the property backs onto a construction yard of some sort. There seemed to be hammering and sawing going on every work day, starting early. Rooms open right onto the common outdoor space, so you get noise from people sitting out at the table, etc. Lastly, our room (7) had a inner door that connected to an outdoor shaft that conducted noise from other rooms that are also adjacent to the shaft.

Beautiful and peaceful hotel, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perfect walking distance to everything in Centro and Jalatlaco. Lovely outdoor space to have yogurt and coffee in the morning or tea in the evening. All of the staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends & family or be back again ourselves in the future!

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They were ready to answer all questions and ensure we were having a pleasant stay. One night when the cab didn't arrive, they went out of their way to drive us to a restaurant reservation showing that they can go above and beyond. Despite being a pet friendly place, once they saw how terrified I was of their cat, they did everything to help me feel more comfortable and that was enormously appreciated. Perla, Benito and another young man at the front desk were the BEST!

Everything about my wife and I's stay was amazing. The location was amazing, with great scenery and vibes. The best part, however, was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. For example, both of us ate some bad food at a restaurant downtown, and the staff were so kind and accommodating to our situation and helped get us what we needed to recover. Highly recommended stay.

I LOVED my time here! The staff was lovely and helpful. The property was very pretty, well maintained, and beautifully designed. The room service each day was great and left our things organized and clean, the breakfast each morning and coffee/tea/water all day was a nice touch, and Agatha the cat and Bruno the dog that live in the property were the highlights of our day!

The location of this boutique hotel in Oaxaca is brilliant. It's right on the outskirts of the central business district (which can be quite noisy) yet it's a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel is owned by an Architect and her husband and managed by their daughter. It's a family-run business, and it shows by the care taken with every detail and experience—they have truly made a beautiful oasis in Oaxaca. As a designer from NYC, I was really impressed with the beauty and attention to all the details. The courtyard is very pretty and a good place to congregate to work while away. I traveled to Oaxaca with my husband, my adult daughter, and her friend, it was a home away from home. We were able to park our car right outside in front of the hotel. They have a breakfast area where you can find fresh fruits, yogurt, loaves of bread, coffee, teas available for breakfast, or you can bring your own and store it in their large refrigerator and pantry. There is also an option to go to this lovely breakfast and lunch cafe a block away called UNNNO. The staff provided recommendations for things to do and places to see in and out of the city and their restaurant recommendations were spot on, they even made the reservations for us. Hotel Tabaa provided such a wonderful experience we would stay again in a heartbeat.

It's just perfect the way it is.

The hotel is operated by a caring family and staff that is there to make certain that your needs are met and that your experience is exceptional. Thankfully, the hotel is located just outside the busy central area but is only a short walk to the the center of town. There are great restaurants right by the hotel itself and more in the more touristy center of town. We loved our stay there! Both the owners and the staff went above and beyond at all times. We will be returning in the future and would stay nowhere else in Oaxaca.

Hotel Tabaa is within walking distance from Zocalo, art galleries, restaurants, churches, and mercados. Tabaa exceeded my expectations, its a beautiful hotel property and the safety of hotel patrons is of importantance to the hotel staff which is available on site 24 hours a day. The best part of my stay was meeting Bruno, the hotel mascot. Loved this hotel, I would return to Hotel Tabaa and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Hotel Tabaa was an incredible stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated, rooms were spacious, bathrooms were very clean (with lovely bath products), and the staff is exceedingly helpful. The staff was all super kind and helped us book our COVID test to return to the US (seamlessly).

The only thing I did not like was I did not book additional nights there!

The room and layout was nice. The interior and exterior are great. The only thing that’s not so good is the view, and the windows are old. Other than that it’s a pleasant and modern oasis. The staff and breakfast were great (and I don’t usually eat breakfast).

The location is interesting - former mansions - but it’s not near the to the center. We thought wr could walk some days but it was clear that wasn’t practical. Be ready to taxi. Also, we asked for a car for the airport and were told 400-500mxn but then the friend of the front desk assistant shows up and says 600mxn.

Hotel Tabaa is so beautiful. We felt like we were on vacation, but we also felt so comfortable and at home. The family who runs Tabaa, and the rest of their staff, go out of their way to accommodate all of our wishes. We really enjoyed getting to know them and knew that we could rely on them. They set up our taxis, our covid tests, our adventures. The whole property is beautiful. Our rooms were spacious, the bathrooms modern, and the outdoor areas wonderfully inviting. We also loved being able to make coffee or tea in the little kitchen - though the desk staff usually came to make it for us if they saw we were interested. The location is great: right on the border of the historic district, but also on the border of the barrio district with it's art shops.

My family and I enjoyed every minute of our 5 nights at Hotel Tabáa. We stayed on the ground floor, which was clean, spacious, and quiet. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from arranging us a day trip to Teotitlan del Valle to helping us get everything we bought back to the United States. We can't wait to return!

This was a beautiful property in an excellent location. It was easy to find, quiet, and accessible. the rooms were fantastically designed and quiet, the bathroom and amenities were wonderful and the staff were excellent. Ruben was especially helpful. an added benefit were the friendly pet dog and cat roaming the property providing plenty of entertainment.

there is always room for approvment. The breakfast could be more “Mexican” and on demand. We would even have paid for it when offered. Toast, Yoghurt and Jam is at bit basic and not reflecting the charme of this special place.
