Kenmare Cottage - a house that sleeps 7 guests in 3 bedrooms
Il Kenmare Cottage si trova nella città balneare di Shanklin ed è situato a pochi passi dalla spiaggia, dal centro città, dall'antico villaggio, dallo Shanklin Chine e dai ristoranti. La casa è arredata in modo confortevole con cucina, sala da pranzo, soggiorno, camera matrimoniale e due camere doppie, bagno per famiglie con wc separato e doccia per famiglie. La casa beneficia anche di un parcheggio fuori strada per due auto e di un giardino recintato con ping-pong all'aperto.
Il lungomare di Shanklin è il luogo perfetto per godersi una tradizionale vacanza al mare con una bellissima spiaggia di sabbia, pub, ristoranti, divertimenti e un folle golf, c'è qualcosa per tutta la famiglia. Puoi passeggiare lungo la cascata fino al lungomare o prendere il Cliff Lift.
Big Mead è un grande parco aperto situato a sud del vecchio villaggio di Shanklin. Questo parco �� ideale per i camminatori di cani e all'interno del parco troverete un'area ricreativa per i bambini e un incantevole laghetto delle anatre nella parte inferiore dell'idromele della chiesa di San Blasio.
Rylstone Gardens è nascosto a sud del vecchio villaggio di Shanklin e si estende sul sentiero costiero con viste spettacolari sulla baia. Questi giardini tranquilli hanno un delizioso negozio di tè e un pazzo campo da golf, entrambi decorati con splendidi cesti di fiori durante i mesi estivi. Il palco è popolare con i concerti all'aperto della Shanklin Town Brass Band e molti altri durante l'estate.
La passeggiata costiera di due miglia tra Shanklin e Sandown è un'attrazione popolare; scegli dal sentiero costiero ondulato o dal lungomare. Lungo la strada si trova il villaggio del lago, con la sua tranquilla spiaggia sabbiosa e il centro per gli sport acquatici.
Sandown è famosa per visitare l'isola dei dinosauri con modelli a grandezza naturale, il molo di Sandown Dino e lo zoo dell'Isola di Wight famosi per il suo Tiger Sanctuary. C'è anche un campo da golf a 18 buche e pitch & putt. La stazione ferroviaria di Shanklin collega a Sandown e all'altra località balneare di Ryde.

We had a wonderful time staying at kenmare cottage. Kitchen came equipped with everything you needed to make meals and was lovely touches having everything you need for your dogs too. Everything was a walk away and the information they provide around dog friendly places on the island was really handy.
A few items in the kitchen needed cleaning before use. The blind spot coming out of the lane was a bit crazy at peak hours, a mirror opposite would be really handy.

Recently completed a stay at the Kenmore Cottage. Overall, I would recommend this property and also stay again. Here are my observations:
Pros:
- Huge property with lots of large rooms. All 3 bedrooms are a great size as is the main bathroom
- Has everything you would need for a stay from appliances through to essential kitchen and living items (chopping boards, mini scales, iron, etc)
- Room for 2 cars to park at the rear of the property
- An abundance of games (board and Nintendo Wii) and DVDs to choose from
- Its very clean and the paintwork looks fresh
- Located 10 mins walk from the beach and a 60 second walk gets you into town where there are plenty of shops & take aways
- Owners provided a lovely welcome pack including dog treats, 4 pints of milk, a chocolate cake, tea, coffee, sugar. Also had washing up liquid and some washing tablets too. Very thoughtful
Cons:
- Getting out of the road to the rear of the property. Its not the fault of the owners, its just a blind turn and I feel dangerous. I would encourage the owners to campaign the council to put up a mirror on the lamp post directly opposite.
- The road itself (to the rear parking) is very tight. If you have a large car, you may want to research the road via Google Maps. I have a small SUV and that was OK, but anything larger might be an issue. Again, not the fault of the owners!
- There are some internal cracks on walls and ceilings, but this shouldn't be a distraction. The owners will need to address it, but it wouldn't put me off rebooking.
Also, a shout out to Island Holiday Homes. Lots of clear communications, responsive by email, polite and helpful when I called to book my ferry (then change the return time twice!). Great company with great employees.

Kenmare Cottage was very welcoming and had everything we needed for our family holiday. Lots of attention to details - even doggie blankets for our 4 legged family member. The welcome tray was much appreciated after our drive and made the start of our holiday feel special. Nicely decorated, we chuckled over the comic dog pictures.
Great to be able to park the car and walk from the house to explore lots of things in the area. Would definitely recommend to others, especially for a family holiday.

Our holiday was absolutely fantastic! The house was immaculate when we arrived and easy to get into. Location is superb. The information folders were fantastic, very detailed and welcome package was a nice touch. The games room was a loved addition as well as the table tennis( balls were a bit dented and we didn't find anywhere to buy anymore). Shanklin is a lovely little place.We would definitely recommend and would stay again
