We drove from Missouri with our 37 foot trailer not realizing all the parks for camping would be closed. We almost turned back but decided to leave our trailer in Old Orchard Beach and on a whim, found this lovely peaceful retreat for our brief visit to Acadia National Park. We saw ANP in a day, even hiked. When we came back to our rental the pond was glass like conditions so we pulled our own kayaks onto the water (even though they have plenty of boats for the offering) for a sweet float. The bed is super comfortable but I suggest bringing your own pillow for your personal comfort. The shower is great as well as the other amenities. For such a small space it feels big. The dock just 30 feet from the door was special and it felt like we were in our own little paradise. I would stay here again but I would definitely make it longer!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to refresh and unplug, this is it! It is in close proximity to local attractions while remaining peaceful, as it’s located on a pond/ lake! Don’t pass up this perfect getaway!

My wife and I had a nice stay in this cozy studio in the woods. It's on a quiet pond on the west side of the island approximately half an hour from Bar harbor. It had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

This cozy cabin was perfect for a week of hiking, biking in Acadia and enjoying the Bar Harbor area. Very efficient space with a beautiful view to enjoy every morning. We were very happy with the accommodations and will hopefully return someday.

This is a wonderful rental! Very clean and in a beautiful location out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Close to hiking trails and shopping. We had a wonderful time but ended up leaving a day early due to the Hurricane Lee. Would recommend this rental if you like a private and secluded area.

Quiet cabin on a pristine pond bordered by Acadia National Park. We enjoyed the kayaks for a paddle with a loon, the misty mornings, and the easy drive to Southeast and Bar Harbors.

The boathouse was perfect for me and my friend! It is a cute little cabin in the woods. It has a beautiful bathroom and a kitchen too. I loved that the cabin looked out on the water and we also loved being able to use the kayaks! Check in process was easy (just beware there is another property with the same address in Acadia area so be sure you go through the VRBO app for directions). It was an easy drive to all the places we wanted to check out and easy enough to go to and from Bar Harbor. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice property we didnt realize we shared the dock with another unit which really takes away your privacy but the other unit was empty except one night. Bed very comfortable and good towels and bedding. Lights and mirror installed very low for taller people but mangeable.
Location is away from the busy tourist spots which was perfect and its new construction well insulated and wifi was great. Nice kayaks and canoes free to use with life jackets on a beautiful peaceful lake. Enjoyed our time there its romantic and quaint!

The Boat house was exactly as described. Perfect for a couple. Secluded, peaceful and quiet but easy to travel to southwest harbor and bar harbor! Would definitely book this cottage again!

We stayed at The Boathouse on a romantic getaway to Acadia National Park. It was located down a long driveway that led to Hodgdon Pond. The cabin was set in a private setting that despite neighboring potteries felt very remote. We loved getting out on the Pond on the kayaks and saw a bald eagles while out paddling! The proximity to Acadia was wonderful as well. As spread out as the park entrances were, we felt extremely close to everywhere we wanted to go. Seeing Acadia itself from the front porch across the zooms was the closest, with Pretty Marsh a 10 minute drive away. The “main” visitor center was around 25 minutes away. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

The cabin was cozy and the setting was beautiful. It’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature and just a 15 min drive to an active downtown (Bar Harbor).

This place was such a wonderful place to unplug. Loved watching the pond change over the course of each day. So glad to have had access to watercraft, bbq, and a comfortable space to feel safe and able to relax.

We loved visiting the boat house-- it was exactly what we hoped for in terms of isolation, lack of light and sound pollution, comfort, and view. Everything was exactly as depicted online if not better. There was easy access to Acadia National Park and other parts of the island, the pond was gorgeous and we enjoyed the provided kayaks. Looking forward to returning again in the future!

Thank you Stacey we loved the boathouse. Your home had everything we needed for a wonderful anniversary and visit to Acadia. I appreciated having air-conditioning. The shower had plenty of hot water and towels. We really loved Hodgeson seafood up the road. Mike runs a great seafood restaurant. I especially enjoyed kayaking the lake and reading on the dock with my coffee.

Quiet side of the island but still so easy to drive to anything. Being on this quiet lake is so worth it! The cabin is small one room but so cozy and a lovely get away. Our second time staying and we would definitely go back.

On Hodgdon pond
Really enjoy the kayaks and row boat. Location to Acadia Park is great. The boathouse was a wonderful experience. Lots of privacy and spectacular views. Plenty of towels and cookware.

Spectacular couples' retreat
The Boathouse on Hodgdon Pond is our idea of a perfect get-away: cozy cabin; drinking coffee on the dock; wonderfully quiet, but not so isolated - groceries are 15 minutes away; plenty of gear for water sports; this place has it all. We are already planning a return in Summer 2023.

Great view and great location to the park. Ned was comfy, which isn’t alway in the case on rentals, which was great! Clean, and had everything we needed.

Absolutely love the boathouse! Was perfect for our vacation to Acadia National Park! Quick drives to all the main hikes and Bar Harbor! Fell in love with the quietside of the park while staying here! Amazing getaway location
I chose this space based on clicking “waterside” and needing an area that was within a 30 min ride to Acadia. I am completely pleased and would totally stay again! While it is a smaller property, it had everything my partner and I needed. The view from the cabin is totally picture worthy! Having access to all of the water toys is a fun bonus as well!

Absolutely love the boathouse! Was perfect for our vacation to Acadia National Park! Quick drives to all the main hikes and Bar Harbor! Fell in love with the quietside of the park while staying here! Fabulous View and peaceful
The property was exactly as show in the pictures. It was just enough for the two of us. Would have to say after leaving and coming home we missed the quiet! If we get back to Maine again would stay here again and on this side of MDI, without a doubt. We fasted from TV/Media for a week, only to look at the weather or book a cruise out of Bass Harbor (recomend) or ticket for Cadillac Summit. We did get to meet our neighbors from NY and they were very nice. Thank you for such a nice place to relax and unwind.

Very peaceful and pleasant
We had a lovely stay. The cabin is surrounded by woods (and a few cottages tucked in between) and faces a pond. Its only one big room, but it has all the amenities a person could need. It was perfect for our dog and ourselves. You share the dock with an abutting cottage. Our neighbors were polite and friendly. We would like to go back next year.
