Fortunata Chacana Guest House

Beautiful renovated Victorian guesthouse in a perfect location. We had a twin room at the front of the house. Some street noise during peak hour but no issue at night. Well appointed bedroom including a sitting area, wardrobe and safe. Private bathroom with shower over the bath. Excellent water pressure. Lovely sitting room and dining room available to guests all day. Within walking distance to some excellent restaurants and cafes (suitable for vegans). A very busy cafe is right next door and a few minimarts and take away outlets just around the corner. Staff at the guesthouse are exceptional; attentive, helpful and English speaking. Beautiful courtyard in a lush garden setting to watch the bees jump from flower to flower. Just beautiful. Nice breakfast prepared to order. Nespresso coffee machine with a variety of pods available all day. A fifteen minute walk to the coastline to view spectacular sunsets. You will not be disappointed. About a 20 minute down hill walk into the city centre. Be aware, if walking, there are lots of steps to navigate and returning at the end of a day out can be an additional cardio workout.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

Sylvia was exceptional, breakfast on china plates so cute and delicious- beds supper comfy- great having a restaurant/cafe next door

The hospitality and the ambiance was excellent!

The facilities, location and the staff are amazing. Coming from a non-Spanish speaking background it was so helpful having English speaking staff and they also provided options for English speaking guided tours of a city where this is kind of essential.
