I rented this home to attend a family wedding in Chatham. I stayed in the home with my spouse and my two adult children so the three bedroom cottage was perfect for our family. We found a home to be welcoming, quaint, clean, and the hosts were very communicative and kept me updated and answered all of my questions.
Having only one bathroom, does make this home less appealing to a larger family. In my opinion however, there is an outdoor shower. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to utilize the outdoor shower and we manage just fine for the weekend.
I would recommend renting this home to anyone who is visiting the area for a weekend or even a week or two.
Our stay was very pleasant because of this property. I read a previous review where someone recommended that perhaps the cottage could use new mattresses and I would agree with that but the home was comfortable and well stocked with anything we might have forgotten.

Forgot to bring towels, but Ben Franklin store had some. Nice kitchen, fully stocked with all we needed.
Nice deck to sit on, enjoyed sunsets there. Comfortable place to stay. Bought tub mat for safety in showering, took home.

This was one of the best houses we have rented! Location was perfect and the house was extremely clean and very comfortable. Loved the sun room and deck. Very nice yard and neighborhood.

What a special property! We loved the location of the house- we walked our two year old daughter through all of the neighborhoods along the water. My in laws visited during the day, it’s the perfect “hang out” house. One complaint- there were some stains on the comforter in the queen bedroom, but everything else was so clean. Would definitely go back!!!!

We were in Chatham for a family .funeral. My husband and I and our adult children and their spouses stayed at the cottage. The place fit our needs perfectly. It was quiet, clean and located in a beautiful neighborhood. In between the ceremony and family gatherings, my family was able to unwind and walk to the nearby beach. It was very peaceful and just what we needed.

The Crean’s home is a sweet beach cottage a short distance to fantastic beaches. With comfortable furniture and mattresses, our group slept well. Two kids under 10 enjoyed the attic room with good AC unit. The ground floor rooms stayed cool with fans at night. We loved the outdoor shower and back deck. Kitchen is well equipped but a little tight. No dishwasher. Overall, a great stay.

Cute cottage, cute neighborhood
Cute cottage, perfect for our family of 4. Two bedrooms downstairs. A loft upstairs with another two beds. One bathroom. Parking in a gravel area to right of house. Firesticks on both TVs. WiFI good. You will need to bring your own linens for this stay, but that is pretty standard on the cape. Good communication with the owners via the app.

We enjoyed the house! It is not fancy, but very comfortable and clean. The yard and deck are roomy enough for company. The grill worked well. Perfect Home away From Home
Will stay at this place again if the opportunity arises. My sister and my daughter and I stayed 4 nights and used as home base for exploring the rest of the cape and Nantucket. Chatham itself seems very nice and next time will explore the neighbor a little more. Wild Turkeys came to cost. The only thing is just to know that the breaker box is in the basement with the washer and dryer. Don’t run a hair dryer and vacuum at the same time!

Perfect little getaway
Two woman who had to cancel their trip to Myrtle Beach due to Covid but still wanted to getaway. Renting this house was perfect and just what we needed. Cute house/cottage, although dated, it is very clean, well kept and maintained. It had just what we needed to relax inside or outside and enjoy cooking meals at home (would recommend the addition of a salt & pepper shaker, a basic kitchen staple). The only thing not provided is bedding and towels. This is not a show stopper, just an inconvenience. When packing for vacation and then to go home it just adds to what already seems like a lot of stuff to bring. And making beds when you arrive takes away from that initial vacation aaaahhhh moment. (Not a big deal for two grown woman doing their own, wouldn't want to do it for a family.) Nice little beach down the street, w/in walking distance, and a safe, quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and the comfort of this home away from home.

The house, on a quiet (for the most part) side street was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities one could ask for, and very close to the beach. Beds were comfortable and the internet was top notch (some of us had a working vacation). I highly recommend this property! The owners were super responsive as well! Only downside.... there always has to be one. The house directly behind could be rather loud, especially in the mid morning when someone was working from home on a speaker phone. Not a big deal, but want to tell the whole story. But seriously, do not hesitate to rent this house! We loved it!

September on the Cape
This is the second time we have rented this great little cottage. It was clean and a great location for us to spend the week! The property owners were super accommodating!!!

Visiting and staying on the Cape is always a terrific experience. I was there for two weeks, with my family joining me for week two. Of all of the years renting a cottage on the camp, and its been many years, this property was the least appealing. With no air-conditioning, the owners could update their property by putting appropriate blinders on ALL of the windows. Importantly, the living room picture window is huge, faces the afternoon sun and has NO way of blocking it out. Installing blinds, minimally, would go a long way to keeping the temperature down. In addition, it was unbearably hot in the second floor, making it uninhabitable during our stay. While there were fans everywhere, the fans were completely FILTHY!! Running them, risked sending dirt and dust in the direction of those seeking to cool-off.
Another concern was the location and access to the washer/dryer. You have to go outside and lift up "storm shelter" doors on the ground to access the laundry room. The steps downward are simply "open cinder blocks" - extremely dangerous. I almost slipped and fell, which would have required a trip to the hospital, had I not caught myself.
Finally, while most cottages have old or used furniture in the living room, this cottage's furniture needs a thorough cleaning, especially the sofa and love seat!!
We will not return here again.

Perfect location
This home was absolutely perfect with all amenities for a wonderful family vacation . Located a short walking distance or car ride to beach . My 5 year old enjoyed searching for shells and stones , building sand castles and just being near the ocean. Perfect time of the year to visit cape cod and south Chatham will absolutely have us back next year or before !

My second year saying at the lovely Chatham Cottage! Great location, equipped with everything you need and the outdoor shower is awesome!! Sitting on the deck watching the sunset was so wonderful. I will be back next year! Ellen M

Cute Cottage
Adorable cottage in our favorite part of the Cape - South Chatham! Very close to Forrest Beach, Pleasant Street Beach and Red River Beach and only a few miles from town.
The cottage was quite lovely and comfortable for the 6 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the all seasons room, as well as, the spacious deck in the back. The 4 kids had plenty of space in the backyard to play and kick a soccer ball around.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, dishes, utensils, grilling equipment and more. The only disappointment is that the house does not have a dishwasher, even though the description says "fully-equipped" kitchen. This wasn't a deal breaker, rather, a mere inconvenience to have to wash dishes multiple times a day.
The only other inconvenience is the washer/dryer. Nowhere in the description does it mention that the washer/dryer are in the storm cellar that can only be accessed from the backyard. Again, this wasn't a deal breaker but it should be noted somewhere so that folks know they cannot access the washer/dryer from inside the house.
Our week in South Chatham was absolutely beautiful and we can't wait to be back there, again, next summer! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your adorable, charming cottage!

All pine paneling, reminded me of my childhood on the Cape. Immaculate. Great location. Attic bedroom pretty hot even in June but charming.

Perfect Get-away Weekend
This was our first time to visit Cape Cod. The house was in a perfect location for travel to Falmouth in the south and Provincetown in the north. We were amazed by how quiet the area was at night. Quite a difference from other shore locations further south in NJ, VA and NC. The best treat of the two days was eating lunch at the Chatham Pier Fish Market and watching the seals that hang out in the water.
