We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful and suited our family perfectly. It is only two houses from the beach - Perfect for teens to have some freedom. My only complaint would be about the information given ahead by the owner. I had asked if we could put our kayaks in the lake at the house since it was on the lake. His response was "no". He gave no explanation. When we got there and asked if we could put the kayaks in at the boat launch, we were told they had to be registered with the community and that the owner should have told us that. So we were on the lake but had to go half an hour to another lake to kayak. Every time I asked a question of the owner, he was very short and seemed annoyed that I asked him for info. We did have a wonderful time, though and the house is great. Plenty of beach passes. Would go again.

Per previous renters, only starter supplies are provided — bring everything: hand/dish/laundry soaps, paper towels, bathroom floor mats, toilet paper, etc. Bath towels + bed sheets are provided. Kitchen is well equipped w/ lots of dishes, pots, 2 dishwashers, etc. Upper deck is beautiful w/ a grill (2 propane tanks incl.) which we loved using while catching up w/ family post-Covid lockdowns for a weekend. Hot tub (access w/ a key) is a nice bonus. There's a small lake/river behind the property + man-made beach (no pets) / basketball + tennis courts nearby. NOTE: ALL garbage must be pre-sorted (recyclables: cardboard, plastic, glass + garbage) and dropped off in garbage dumpsters a couple of streets down. They have strict rules on what garbage gets dumped in what dumpster (these details NOT incl. in house rules). NO PETS or OUTSIDE FIRE PIT allowed. Also, this property is managed by Pocono Mountain Rentals (not VRBO) and they weren't friendly when I had confusion on how the property is listed on VRBO. They claimed they don't manage the listing on VRBO which is super misleading — bc you don't learn about this until after you book it. Lastly, the house is pretty, neighborhood is beautiful. BUT, we were a family of South Asians and felt VERY discriminated against. We decided to go for a walk around the lake on a beautiful sunny day WITH beach passes provided at the house — you need them to access the beach area — and a white woman (resident) from the area called security to check on us. There are a LOT of vacation rental properties here, so large groups of families taking a walk shouldn't be a surprise to them. Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, we are not rowdy, are well educated, and most of us are 1st gen Americans. We also had a white guy from their "neighborhood watch" share how there are sightings of escaped black convicts sometimes and that's when they "grab their rifle and go koon hunting." (If you don't know what that means, look up how it's used as a derogatory term to describe a black person.) He then assured us that we were the "good brown" skinned people. UNBELIEVABLE. This ruined our experience and we decided to spend the rest of our time at the house. In conclusion, if you're white or look white, this will be a great experience for you. If you're colored in any way, I wouldn't rent this place. Needless to say, we will NEVER return or rent this property again.

We had a great time at the cascade property , the only drawback was that there where no garbage bags and no previous warning that none where provided , and also the drive way was icy, almost had a few bad falls . But enough space , perfect for Christmas celebrations

It was so spacious, great facilities, with a lovely hot tub and deck and bbq! We were next door to the sandy beach on the lake and spent a lot of time swimming and enjoying that! Such a great experience, would DEFINITELY come back! The poconos mountain rentals were also available any time of day for any questions and concerns and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

The beach was practically steps away, the facilities were super clean, and when we did have a couple of small maintenance issues come up they were handled quickly and professionally by PMR. We had such a good time, and having all that space gave us the ability to really spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. I would definitely stay again!

Lots of bedroom options, and we enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, PS3, and tvs. If anyone is very sensitive to noise, this might not be the best option. Most of the rooms are located just off common areas. The house is obviously used mainly as a rental, so things are very bare bones. Renting sheets and towels is $300 extra. They remind you to bring everything down to toilet paper and detergent, but never mentioned bringing bath mats. Remember to bring a bath mat, and everything from tp, napkins and soap if you rent this place. They do have dishes, pots, and pans. The hot tub was nice but had to be refilled a bit everyday. We used buckets. It's the little things they don't tell you, huh? Now you have it!

We love the location which is within a short walking distance to the beach and lake which are very private. The house itself has two dishwashers and two refrigerators that came in handy. There is also a large washing machine and dryer. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone liked the house so much last year that we stayed there again this year.

Exactly what our group of all ages needed! Great location, cool views, comfortable accommodations, and something to keep everybody entertained! The home is well maintained and more than just a rental! We all loved this trip, and will definitely be coming back! The beach, playground, courts, and pavilion are also next door!

We chose to come back her for our annual couples getaway because it is the perfect home for groups of couples. Each level has some form of entertainment so you can be as social as you want to be, including the spacious 3rd floor loft with it's own TV and daybed. The property is well-maintained and kept very clean. The hot tub is wonderful, even on a cold day, and the deck is large enough for everyone to be on at once. Our timing is always too early to use the amenities of the subdivision like the beach, but the location on the lake still provides wonderful views. There are a few observations about the home that are good to know. First, for some reason GPS services send you to the wrong place when you try to give them this address. The best bet is to put input another address nearby, like one of the businesses on PA-115, then use the directions provided by the rental company. Also, there needs to be a larger fridge for this size of a home. There was nowhere for tall beverages containers to fit based on the shelving inside. For some reason, the half bath (located in the laundry room on the first floor) doesn't have a door lock. It caused a chuckle-worthy situation for two members of our group. Lastly, note that only HALF of the bedrooms have closets (1 per floor) and there is no iron or ironing board on the premises. There is a dresser in each room for storage. Overall, this is a very nice and comfortable home. I highly recommend it, especially for adults.
