Trovare il giusto equilibrio di rustico e moderno, sfocando le linee tra spazio interno ed esterno era l'obiettivo sia del proprietario che dell'architetto che si incontrarono mentre navigavano di fronte alla proprietà. Seduto nella linea, il palmo discreto "Tetto in stile Rancho" unisce la villa al suo paesaggio naturale. Il legno natale di teak e Guanacaste è utilizzato in tutte le porte e dei built-in. Le finiture calde, le finiture industriali e il balinese mescolato agli arredi moderni della metà del secolo creano un ambiente lussuoso ma accogliente, con abbondanza di spazio per riunire grandi gruppi e piccoli spazi per piccoli gruppi.

I’m not even sure where to start, this place was absolutely amazing!! The house exceeded every expectation and was even better than described. It was beautifully designed, incredibly well thought out, and the layout was both stunning and functional.One of our favorite features was the jungle path leading to the beach. It felt like a little adventure every time we walked it. The beach itself was gorgeous and made the entire experience feel like paradise.Joshua was an exceptional host. He was incredibly attentive, answered our many questions almost immediately, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly throughout our stay.The home was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Every detail seemed carefully considered, making it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation. This was truly one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed, and we would return in a heartbeat. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

This was a great place to stay, and exactly as advertised. Very close to the town - restaurants and shops. Another real advantage was the backdoor, private (and direct) trail to the beach, which made it easy for the little kids, for getting surf gear to the beach, and for sunrises or sunsets at the beach!Joshua was the property manager and he was immediately available at any time. Also, in the months leading up to our stay he or others were super-responsive. He helped us arrange private transport occasionally plus having a truly wonderful local Chef come in to cook for us a few nights. The home is "open air", with the bedrooms air conditioned and each on its own control, so it was comfortable for everyone. The kitchen was fully equipped with all sizes and shapes of dishes, glassware, and bowls, pots and pans, plus blenders of all sizes.All in all we would highly recommend Villa Zona Azul!

We had the most incredible time! The house is beautiful and in an amazing location. The hosts went above and beyond. Joshua, Janet and their team made the trip even better than imagined. We'll definitely be back!

This property is absolutely stunning and first class in every way. The staff is top notch and communication was great the entire time. Beds were comfy, rooms were well air-conditioned, beach access was wonderful, and the property is well stocked with fun extras like bikes, surfboards and games. I would have given the property 5 stars because it really is beautiful and one of a kind, but there are a few things very important to make note of:
1) The washer and dryer can only be used by the staff. So if you have laundry, you will need to pay the housekeeper $10 to have that done.
2) The main areas are NOT air conditioned. This was fine on the upper level since we used that for yoga. But downstairs in the kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, it was hot and humid always. This made it more difficult for us to spend time all together as a family because it was uncomfortable much of the time.
3) Possibly the most important thing to note is that this property is EXTREMELY difficult to get to. For half the trip from the Liberia airport, you are on unpaved, bumpy, dangerous roads. At one point, there is a river you have to drive across. During the rainy season this river can become impassible. There are two ways out of Nosara and both have horrible roads with dangerous areas that become impassible when the water is high. We ended up leaving 2 days early because we were afraid it would rain again and we would be unable to get out. If you are renting a vehicle, 4 wheel drive is a must. If you can rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle with a snorkel, even better. If you are taking transport from the airport, be prepared for a long, extremely bumpy and uncomfortable ride. I am adding this to my review because I wish someone had given me this info before renting the property.
The little town area near the property has lots of really great restaurants and shops. The surfing looked great, although we are not surfers Shelling on the beach was also really fun with a wide variety of shells to collect. If the roads ever get paved, I would definitely return to this property and area.
