The flat was a functional base for a week in La Paz. The owner showed adequate attention and help as I had arrived exhausted and travel stained due to the night bus. There was some confusion around leaving my bags before check in but the owner found a suitable solution. The flat was well sized and the amenities were in an acceptable state. The location was close enough to the tourist areas but I suspect a cumbersome American would struggle up some of the hills.

Exchange rate: If you book this property you will be quoted the amount in US dollars. However on arrival at the property, the owner asked to use an unofficial Boliviano to Dollar exchange rate which was more than the advertised price. I understand that Bolivia is currently undergoing an economic crisis, which I empathise, and I have no qualms with paying an unofficial dollar-Boliviano rate. However, this must be communicated upfront and early by the owner as its quite a surprise to arrive at a hotel and be asked to pay more than expected. A quick message never hurt anyone. My next gripe is aimed at the dogs on the upper floor. These dogs should either be let out more be out down. They barked upon entering the property, throughout the night and the early morning. If they are the owners then responsibility should be taken to subdue their barks, if they are a neighbours then the owner should have stern words with them. There are some aspects of my stay and the hotel which could use some improvement despite the fair price. - the door handle kept coming off during my stay. This is an easy fix which a handyman could sort in minutes. - the toilet requires a second flush to allow for the cistern to refill. A plumber could easily fix this

The owner is very nice, there is hit water and kitchen, she let us leave our bags while we are going to hike fir a few days

Its a little far from the centre but there is a good market near to the apartment

Super logement, propre et bien équipé. La propriétaire est très gentille et très arrangeante. Nous étions vraiment bien dans ce logement :)
