We had a great experience, the house was beautiful and well equipped. We also appreciated that the rental agency was quick to respond with some minor repairs that needed to be taken care of. The house was the perfect size and had ample space for our family vacation, I also appreciate that most of the bedrooms had attached bathrooms.

The house was very comfortable, was well equipped and clean. We saw dolphins and the beach was clean, albeit very crowded in that area.I wish the pool could have been heated. It was frigid! The area is very crowded, and it was very noisy, day and night. Houses are on top of one another, so not very private. Not like our previous visits to the OBX!

Overall, the vacation home for our family needs. The weather was terrible the week we stayed, so we were unable to use the pool, but we did use the hot tub a few times. The house was fairly clean when we checked in, although dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher. The house needs a little work (mold on ceiling in upstairs master bath, etc.). We also had a problem with tiny ants in the kitchen. The stairs over the dunes were a lot more than expected to get to the beach, which was difficult for some in my family.

House is very spacious. Kitchen had lots of dishes/glasses/coffee mugs, but could have used a few more pots and pans. Was also equipped with coffee maker, and air fryer and crockpot (we would have liked knowing this before we took ours) We did have maintenance bring us a broom because there wasn't one. House was clean when we checked in, but there were a few lights burnt out, one of them maintenance replaced but didn't notice some of the others until after he was there and it wasn't worth calling back for a second trip to us. The house does need some bigger maintenance items (ceiling repair in mid level master, door jamb fixed, laminate over sink needs re-glued - all minor and didn't affect our stay but should be addressed by realty company). The basement bedroom's bathroom is not next to it, it's across the rec room by the back door. (just for information)

Location is great and the pool (albeit smaller than it looks in the pics) and hot tub are well-maintained and clean. The deck off the kitchen is an awesome place to hang out and watch the sea. That said, there are a lot of little things that need work - torn screens, windows that don't open properly, hole in the ceiling, etc - they don't really affect your enjoyment of the property but it detracts from the overall feel. I'm sure these big rental houses get rode pretty hard all season with large groups, so manage your expectations. But overall I'd stay there again, property management was very attentive and maintained contact from check-in to check -out.

To start off the preparation of the home seemed rushed. We opted for early check in and found we were short towels and sheets for the beds. However they were delivered the very next day. The house was not cleaned well and the yard what little there was was unkept. The rest of the house was as expected close to the beach with the only the down side of climbing a lot of stairs. Pool in the front made it hard to entertain but did meet the need of a quick dip to cool off. The internet was very slow and some of TVs not hooked up for use. The travel to local stores is walking distance. Overall it was a good stay and the house was what we expected minus the preparation and cleaning.

We really enjoy this home and is the 2nd year we have stayed there. Has everything you need and so much for everyone to do! We have had as many as 13 people stay in this home and plenty of room for all. The pool is very nice as it is located on the front of the home so you get the nice afternoon sun. So close to shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. Just an all around great place to stay!

The good: process with Beach Realty; ocean front location; community tennis court was nice; the raised sitting room was great; the house was very functional. Just part of it: tall dune, but this seems to be a Corolla thing; you are in s subdivision, so beach is not so private, but not crowded; pool is front of house; bedrooms are modest size. The not so good: called about a couple cleaning issues (including mold on shower curtain) that weren't resolved; also called about basement air conditioner, it may just be marginal; the ice maker has a leak so it ends up making one big block of ice (we didn't call about this issue); the house could use some refreshing (carpet, etc...); would be good to have a good non-stick skillet. Overall, pretty good.

Dune Vegan was a great house and a perfect layout for our group that ranged from ages 2-50. HOWEVER, for being so early in the season, we were very disappointed at how dusty the bedrooms were and it was obvious that the cleaning company did not vacuum before we arrived - clothes tags on the floor for example. The upstairs vacuum didn't work very well, the other vacuum was full and there were no replacement bags. Light bulbs were out in lamps and there were no replacements again in the house. The kitchen chair cushions were dirty, so we tossed them in the washing machine, amongst other questionable items. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and the NEW pool, but it just didn't start out too well and I think we all felt a little unsettled for the first few days. In no way do I want to steer you away from this house, but I did want the owners to be aware of our experience. The realty company was great and sent the cleaning company out right away, but they were in/out within a 1/2 hour.

So Good is a wonderful home that is well furnished and maintained. We traditionally vacation in Nags Head but decided to go to Corolla this year for something different and although we were hesitant about depending on public access to the beach, SO Good exceeded our expectations.
In addition to being next to the public access walkway which made getting to the beach so easy, the location near stores made quick runs an easy trip. The refurbished bathrooms were very nice and the game room was one of the better ones we've enjoyed in OBX. The front-yard pool was a nice change that allowed afternoon sun and warm water when we didn't go to the beach; and the crows nest provided wonderful views to enjoy the lightening storms.

This place has a great location, right over the dunes from the water, but it has a few quirks. The pool is in the front, right by the driveway, instead of in the rear, which could make some guests feel on display. Strangely, there is no open deck on the ocean side, though there is a lovely elevated “ship’s watch” room off the main living/dining area on the top floor, perfect for watching the surf. There’s also a sunset deck off the master bedroom where we had cocktails. Everything on the interior was well-maintained, clean and spacious. Most thing on the outside could use an upgrade. One safety hazard should be addressed: there’s dripping water (I think from a hose bib) by the pool area and it has caused a big streak of slippery moss to form between the driveway and the pool. Somebody’s going to fall on that.

We enjoyed ourselves. Place was very nice. My only caution is that there are a lot of steps that you have to constantly take both within the house and to get to and from the beach.

So nice and close to the walkway to the beach. The little ones loved the ocean. The pool was also very much used. The open design of the home facilitates the 10 people in our party without the feeling of being crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Wonderful house, shaky check in
First, the house is beautiful and works well for a large multi family rental. We really like the openness of the top floor, the ease of access to the beach (be ready for stairs), the warm pool, and the billiards table to play into the night.
There were some bumps upon check in. Namely, although the listing says check in at 4 pm, they don’t guarantee it until 6 pm. The problem is they don’t let you know it won’t be ready at 4 pm. You are told to wait until housekeeping leaves. We thought we saw them leave at 4:45 pm but apparently that was only an inspector. They house was not prepared but housekeeping was very nice and worked with and around us. The girl on the phone at Beach Realty was rather rude when I first called but when I called back regarding the AC not working on the second floor, she was nicer and sent someone almost immediately out. Be prepared, there are no cleaning supplies, dish or hand towels, hand or dish soap, toilet paper or trash bags. The beds are very comfortable but the king sheets are a little small.
Overall, we enjoyed the house.

We have been staying in the OBX for nearly 30 years on the north end- this was our first time in Crown Point. The lots are much smaller/houses closer together than in other areas so this was a surprise. It also led to the beach being more crowded feeling- and this is during COVID. The dunes are also much higher so many stairs up and down. The house itself was very nice with lots of space and generally well equipped. Oceanfront is always nice- the pool and hot tub got a lot of use. We ordered the linen package but were surprised that there were zero kitchen dish towels in the house so needed to go buy some. Overall, the house and furnishings were all in good shape, pleasantly decorated and well equipped for both fun and cooking in.

We enjoyed four-wheeling on the beach, visiting the lights and Manteo, crabbing, and sitting on the deck when the weather allowed. We especially enjoyed meals at Suey Barbecue, La Dolce Vita, and Upside.

We absolutely loved it in OBX. And the house was perfect! It was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed in a vacation home. The pool was in the perfect spot, it got sun all day long! We can't wait to visit it again in 2020!!!

The home is in a great location. It has a good layout with plenty of room. I would of liked it to be a cleaner but I think it’s hard when you have such little time in between turnovers. That would be my only complaint. I would rent again.
