Getaway Gent

The property is great. Well maintained and well presented. Easy to access and spacious I’d recommend it to anyone as long as the “don’t like” is taken care of.

Weirdly, and I don’t know if this is just a short term issue based on conditions but even with my windows shut my room seemed to be full of mosquitoes. I got eaten to bits over 3 nights.

The place is more beautiful than I imagined. The room is very comfortable.

Nothing. Coffee machines at the lobby would be great

The location & the building itself were superb. It’s a beautiful old seminary converted.

The rooms were clean, but tiny. The staff were completely disinterested in helping out with anything- when you’re in the hospitality industry, you at least need to be making some attempt at being hospitable. They were also extremely stingy with the toiletries- one tiny little bottle of shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash for three people. Worst were the signs in the room threatening a 25€ fine if plates were left unwashed in the sink!! Also vaguely menacing signs on the bathroom door - I don’t really know if they were meant to be funny! The signs were more suited to hostel rooms for riotous college goers than for travellers paying over 200€ per night
