literally getting spammed with email from this place, called twice to talk with someone about my reservation, left a voicemail both times and never got a return call.

I want to clarify that my review has nothing to do with the lodge itself, as I never had the chance to stay there. My bad experience is entirely related to the property management company (Rocky Mountain Resort Management) that runs the booking process for the lodge. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by any business ever. The representative refused to listen, made incorrect assumptions, refused to work with me initially and told me that he couldn't help me and that I needed to call booking.com, and later gaslighted me repeatedly by making me feel like my reasonable request of him to honor the amount I agreed to pay was unreasonable. His refusal to work with me initially cascaded into multiple miscommunications among him and booking.com and myself, which left me confused and misinformed. The representative was polite in writing, but was rude over the phone, and actually said he "was going to charge the maximum fees against me" in retaliation when I said that I would write a review of my poor experience with his company's customer service. The representative claimed that he tried to work with me, but that was only after I had already been given incorrect information that my booking was cancelled and I booked another room. He never initially tried to honor the amount I agreed to pay or attempted to work with me in any way. I hardly ever write negative reviews. This is the second one I’ve ever written in my life. But this whole experience took a full day away of my vacation and left me mentally exhausted and depleted for several days after.
