Stayed for one night. Such a quaint spot. Right on the river, literally.

Serene cabin on the Kennebec River. The cabin is impeccably clean with ample space and all the necessities. We caught many fish on the river , enjoyed kayaking. Mike and Kim are great hosts, very friendly and helpful.

First off I’ve to say, you don’t come across people like Mike & Kim anymore. My family and I stayed at their beautiful cabin on Father’s Day weekend. The weather wasn’t what we had hoped for but nevertheless the hospitality we experienced was next level! The communication, kindness, and honesty is what you hope to find in people these days. Wish I had met Mike & Kim in person, they were great hosts. They had everything we would need provided and easily accessible. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. The cottage was lovely and we especially enjoyed sleeping on the screened porch. Everything we needed was available without needing to ask.

Great property to relax by the fire pit or kayak down the river. Property Hosts were very cordial and accommodating. How hard working they are! Very clean and cozy. No complaints whatsoever! Hope to return again.

We drove in from Vermont after staying with family for four days and much activity. We loved the quietness of the cabin, the river, and the walking trails. What a wonderful way to spend the last five days of our vacation (celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary!)

I booked the stay as a birthday vacation for my husband. He was very happy and we both enjoyed the stay!

In the woods - you can hear the river but close to the main road.
Owners thought of everything you may need while staying at their cabin. Loved it!

The cabin was better than expected, it was clean and neat. It has everything you need and more, Kim and Steve thought of everything. The beach is beautiful, the whole area is just amazing and the morning sunrise was a nice treat.
I look forward to my next visit, thank you again for opening up your place for us.

Amazing experience on the Kennebec
This was an exceptional place to get away to in Maine! We loved the cabin and the location. Mike and Kim were super friendly and helpful and even brought us fresh picked strawberries! The kids enjoyed fishing in the river and skipping rocks. The adults loved relaxing by the river. We all got a huge kick out of the friendly chickens, too. :) Should we venture back to Maine in the future we would definitely stay again. Thanks for the great memories!

What a great cottage!!! Has everything you need including washer and dryer!! It was very nice and convenient to fishing!!! Right outside the door to the river!!! Hosts were there if we needed anything but also respected our privacy!! Would recommend this cottage highly!!!

The words “charming” and “cozy” just don’t say enough about this cabin. We enjoyed sitting by the wood burning stove in comfortable chairs, with beautiful views of the Kennebec River. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had everything we needed including big, thirsty towels. Thank you, Mike and Kim, for sharing this hidden jewel!

The words “charming” and “cozy” just don’t say enough about this cabin. We enjoyed sitting by the wood burning stove in comfortable chairs, with beautiful views of the Kennebec River. What a Gem
This cottage was amazing! Beautifully upkeep, all the necessities, quaint, quiet, remote, I can't say enough positive things about it. The property owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We never met them, but they were right there if we needed them. They were very responsive to messages as well. We stayed to do some hiking near by and couldn't have left happier and more rejuvenated. We will definitely be back!!!

I had the opportunity to meet Mike (the owner). He immediately asked if we were happy with the property and if we needed anything.

The photos of the property looked great, but it was even better than expected. We arrived to cheerful mums and a pumpkin on the front porch, along with a welcome greeting from the owner. The kitchen was stocked with unexpected things, like coffee supplies, condiments, and reusable water bottles. Towels were soft, clean and abundant and sheets and pillows were of high-quality. The decor was nicer than expected, with fluffy throws, charming quilts, and good reading lights. There were also interesting books, games, and guides for local activities and restaurants. The whole place was immaculate and welcoming.
We loved the outdoor fire pit and only wish we’d been at the property more during the day to enjoy the riverside setting.
If we are in the area again we would not hesitate to return to this lovely cabin. Highly recommend!

My family and I loved every minute of our time here and we will definitely be returning to stay longer. We especially loved the canoes and took a ride every day. We loved sleeping on the porch and falling to sleep and waking up to nature sounds. The property really has everything you would need for a perfect relaxing getaway in the mountains. We did the trails around the property too which were gorgeous. Highly recommend this gem for any family looking for a quiet and relaxing (and unplugged) vacation.

The cottage provided a perfect getaway for my husband and I after a year of being on screens and a few crowded days in Portland! Mike and Kim have provided everything you could want and need. We enjoyed relaxing by the river, trying our hand at stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, playing games at night, and sleeping close to nature on the screened-in front porch. We didn't use the screened-in gazebo or personal fire-pit area, but would have with more time. The binder with details regarding local hiking, activities, and restaurants was very helpful when venturing out into unknown territory. We did a few hikes that were detailed in the binder and enjoyed meals at a some of the restaurants, too. The cabin was so clean that we felt like we were the first people to ever stay there. We appreciated Mike and Kim giving us privacy, but were also grateful to know that they were nearby (and nice to talk to!). We highly recommend this property!
