Hôtel Constantin

Charming little hotel. Quiet at night. Good value

The bathroom was a bit cramped and the WIFI was only okay

Air conditioning, nice-sized room

A little dark on the street when returning late to the hotel. Apart from the initial check-in, I never saw a member of staff again. Even when leaving, I just put my key back on it's hook behind the counter when leaving. The ensuite bathroom could do with upgrading.

location

dust under the bed two sachets of shower gel for a couple.

Friendly and very helpful manager. Location handy for travellers arriving without cars who can walk into town centre. 24 hour Access to unattended hotel reception via code (also : contact tel. no. is advised on door) which is standard for Arles. Standard time locally for room availability from 15.00 hours but luggage can be left on earlier arrival by the reception. Tourist office is 250 metres away on same side as hotel on main road, behind a carousel. Excellent value. The 16 rooms are spread across two floors accessed via stairwell/no lift and fire escape is via same stairwell it seems. Room TV worked fine.

My room had seen better days but I liked the spaciousness. Dated, basic room furniture but workable. Shower partly inoperative/suction came off wall but adequately operational. Could not see any heating for my room but others did have air conditioning/ heating if needed. Lot of dust under bed which really needs regular cleaning but bed comfortable and extra bedcovers available. Slept well.
