Apartment was 1) not cleaned (sheets smelled bad on every bed, had dirt spots, no pillow cases, floor was full of hairs, dust, food leftovers, bathroom and kitchen were both absolutely disgusting with spots everywhere and used items). It was the worst "cleaning" I have ever faced in years of bookings and the only bad experience we had in our 1 week travelling in Morocco. This was a major issue for us since we arrived in the middle of the afternoon and had an early flight the next morning - meaning we would have only a few hours to explore the city center and we would be wasting a lot of time if we were relocated by Booking or waited for their cleaning team to arrive. We ended up sleeping 4 people in the sofa, did not used the bathroom or kitchen and literally just went there to sleep and ran away early in the morning. Days after check-out we are still getting messages from the owner trying to negotiate percentages of refund and justifying their lack of service, respect for their guests and responsibility by questioning the truth of our statement. Besides this huge problem that affect a lot our last day in this amazing country, 2) the location is very bad (although everyone in shops and restaurants are very nice and welcoming) and will only work in case you have a car like we did. And 3) the person who welcomed us in the apartment - besides not properly confirming the cleaning of the apartment - did not actually welcomed us. She simply gave us the keys, ask for the city tax money, took a photo of the book holder passport (which is not legal and that we authorized due to the language barrier - she made no effort to understand our limited french nor used any translation tools to communicate) and hurried to leave the apartment.
