Our expectations were met 101%. Beautiful, clean and large rooms with an amazing view, very nice staff, and a wonderful lady who accommodated us. Respect also to the chef in the restaurant, the food was incredibly delicious. Thank you for everything!!!!

I think it is not a great idea to start cleaning the terrace at 6:30 am. As well as trimming the grass at 7 am. Usually people prefer to sleep at that time.

Really modern room, the view is great! And the convenience of a very nice restaurant and bar downstairs is unbeatable.

Excellent stay! Rooms are very nice, well decorated and super comfortable. View is excellent, basically you have the best view in kilometers because you see both the Balaton and the little port with Sailing boats, all this through a 5 meter long glass / window surface. Very spacious terrace for chilling or eating, provided with sunbeds, chairs and a table. Even though you are right above the restaurant, when you close the door to the terrace you cannot hear anything from downstairs. Plus points: excellent bed mattress quality, super airy room (high ceiling), air-conditioning of latest generation, restaurant just downstairs (excellent food), beach 50 meters, boat rental 40 meters, parking 50 meters, Supermarket 200 meters. Moreover, there is a little kitchenette in the main corridor of the rooms that you can use to cook something if you feel like cooking. Staff: Lavinia the manager super nice and attentive to guests needs! Waiters professionals, nice people and quick! We are going back next year for sure.

The Property is nicely located directly on Balaton, the rooms are spacious and well decorated, the food at the restaurant is high quality. Most of the staff is friendly and hard working. Note however, that all nice attributes of the property were OUTWEIGHED by highly unethical behaviour and intrusion into my privacy by the manager/owner Mrs. Lavínia Kenesei.

By this review, I would like to alert travelers on my shocking experience at Calypso. A week ago we stayed 3 nights at the hotel. On the second day, there was an incident at the restaurant when a waiter was unacceptably rude to my partner. The restaurant manager apologized. I reported this incident in written to Mrs. Lavínia Kenesei in return to “give ur feedback” question from the hotel. In response, she (without even witnessing the incident) took the liberty to comment derogatory on my partner and our relations. All correspondence was in written form through messaging at booking.com platform (documentary proof available). See below my “favourite” parts: “If your partner really wanted to order with a full mouth and it was so urgent that he didn’t swallow the food and I can write my own opinion, then I say you deserve a much more polite and well-mannered man too!” “You are a pretty, well-situated lady who could not afford a man to behave this way in your company.” Subsequently, when I responded that this is unacceptable intrusion into my privacy and hurts me and my partner, Lavínia ignored my message, did not call me or try to apologize. A few days Later, when I followed up with another message saying again that this is unacceptable and asked for the money back, I never got an answer on my request as well, just a note that I “misunderstood her”. Since a week passed and no actions from Lavínia followed, I am now publishing this feedback. To say that it is outrageously humiliating and weird experience is to say nothing. I am a seasoned traveller and stayed at huge number of hotels in my life, both for work and for pleasure. Never ever in any country any hotel would dare to do things as Lavínia did! To wrap up, I would like to remind Lavinia that guests come to hotels in order to relax, to feel happy and valued, but not to experience stress and humiliation.
