Hotel Croatia

The exterior architecture and the location are brilliant. Also the staff is great.

The interior style in many places doesn't match the spectacular exteriors. While the exterior design, including the bridges, garden terraces, shapes and embedding into the natural terrain are a stunning example of the 1970s Yugoslavian avant-garde, the interiors look like a renovation from the 1990s and meanwhile dated, except for a few remnants like the gearwheel shapes embedded into the main pillars. That said, I found the breakfast a little too simplistic and overall the pricing too high for what is is. Nevertheless, a pleasant stay overall.

Great location

The breakfast.

Excellent breakfast choice. Superb views. Service good despite very large numbers at breakfast. Hotel felt very spacious and well maintained. Staff delightful. Great transport service down to the bay to avoid the long flight of steps! Stunning views throughout.

Room spotless on check in but daily cleaning could have been better

Clean and rooms were nice.

No air conditioning available which I thought was just a way of saving money by the hotel - we had to ask for a fan or we were told to keep the balcony doors open -for a 5 star hotel with no functioning air conditioning I though was very poor !! Food in all inclusive restaurant was basic, average with little choice - didn’t even have ice cream available for kids !!
