Fantastic property for two families to stay. Nice and close to Kendall’s beach and walking distance into town. Had a feast time and will look to stay again.

Property was located in a great spot. Easy to check in with lock boxes. House was nice & spacious. We couldn’t get the oven upstairs to work so maybe helpful to leave instructions but otherwise a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay especially having the space for ten people. Access to the beach is great.

It's a really comfy house with excellent location and heaps of space.
Hot water was not properly working but fixed in 1 day by the owner. Overall cleanliness was bad, e.g.: couldn't use the BBQ because it was horrible.
Could be cheaper considering all of these things, and more expensive if there is a small amount of money and attention to detail invested in it.

Easy to commincate.
The view from the house was amazing, so much space. Everyone loved how close the beach was. We spent most of our time at the beach. The house had everything we needed for the stay.

The walk into town was along the cliffs to the Blowhole on a safe cement path passing the rolling surf.
Facilities upstairs were good plenty of the necessary items needed to cook Dinners each night as we had young children.
The kids enjoyed the use of the surf boards in the garage a great idea.
Downstairs needs new blinds in the family room and the hose needs replacing as it is full of holes and not very successful to wash feet from the beach. These are minor things.
Overall a great place for two families plus Gran to have a beach holiday'

Terrific location near the beach walking down a short track 100metres onto the sand of Kendalls Beach patrolled when we were there.
The walk into town was along the cliffs to the Blowhole on a safe cement path passing the rolling surf.
Facilities upstairs were good plenty of the necessary items needed to cook Dinners each night as we had young children.
The kids enjoyed the use of the surf boards in the garage a great idea.

We love Golden Sands and have booked for next year but there a few little details that would make our stay easier: more than 1 tea towel for the use of possibly 10 people, some washing up liquid, more than 5 tablets for the dishwasher, and perhaps Netflix. We had cool, damp weather so more choice for TV shows would have been very welcome. We still love Golden Sands.

The location of this property is excellent with a short stroll to a local beach, and 20 mins walk to the town centre.
Unfortunately the property was not clean - very dusty, hair ties on the floor and even a dead cockroach. The filter in the dishwasher was particularly disgusting when we took it out to rinse it. The sofa bed downstairs, when opened, was found to have a dirty sheet on it. The beds are made with a quilt between two sheets, and some quilts were stained.
The property is also quite tired. Some chairs were broken including one at the dining take, doors that don’t close properly, and kitchen cabinets and drawers that don’t close properly. Overall value for money was low.

Don't be fooled by the older exterior of this home. Inside it has been beautifully renovated, making it very workable for large groups of adults, as well as families. The living spaces are generous, allowing 10 people to be together comfortably. It was clean and comfortable throughout. We loved it!

Uncleanliness
There were dirty underwear left in the upstairs second bedroom. A dirty nappy was left in the downstairs bathroom and other items through the house such as baby bottle caps and sanitary items. This raised concerns that the house wasn’t cleaned properly as it was overall a dirty.

Winter weekend
Upstairs in very modern and well appointed, downstairs was a little disappointing and pretty cold. 3 heaters for a 4 bedroom house with 2 large living spaces was not quite enough. We all ended upstairs all of the time. Good location for the Kiama to gerringong Coastal walk. Owners were very helpful in replacing the DVD player asap. Thank you

Kiama Christmas!
Golden Sands is the perfect house for an extended family to stay together but have separate areas. This is the fourth time we have rented it and I’m sure we will again. Loved the new bathrooms upstairs.
