Marinos Beach Hotel

My husband and I spent 12 nights at the Marinos Beach Hotel this September, and we honestly had just but positive experiences. In our opinion, this place easily beats its 3-star rating. First of all, I have to mention the reception team—they are truly the heart and soul of this hotel. We really want to thank them for being incredibly kind and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout our entire stay. A huge thanks to Marios, who is just an amazing, fantastic person! But really, all of his colleagues—Irini, Michalis, and Alexandra—were exceptionally sweet and helpful too. We’ve stayed at higher-rated hotels before, but we’ve never experienced such attentive service and never met such genuinely nice people. The hotel has a great location right on the beach, and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. One thing we absolutely loved was the Nespresso machine in the room and also absolutely loved the spacious terrace with its sea view.. They provided coffee capsules every day, and you could ask for as many as you wanted at the reception for free. The restaurant was also spotless and really nice, with fresh, delicious food and a great variety. The pool water was crystal clear, surrounded by a lovely, well-kept garden area with free sunbeds and an outdoor restaurant. The beach itself is clean, and the sunbeds and umbrellas are free for hotel guests, except for the very first row, which costs €20 a day. But honestly, any other row was perfectly fine for us. You aren't allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the beach, but you can order anything right to your sunbed from the beach restaurant and pay by cash or card on the spot. Just a heads-up: the beach is pebbly, the water gets deep quickly, and it can get quite wavy. I’d definitely recommend wearing swim shoes. It’s not ideal for toddlers, but there’s a sandier beach just about 100 meters away. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, high-quality, and peaceful beach getaway!

La camera non veniva pulita giornalmente e gli asciugamani cambiati ogni 4 giorni, eccezionalmente dopo 3 su nostra richiesta con lamentele del personale. La doccia si è allagata due volte. Scale senza ascensore scomode con bagagli pesanti. Colazione basica

location was really good - right on the beach. Good location for restaurants and bars and shops - fairly close to a supermarket and bus stop

very strict rules regarding pool closing times and beach closing times - the pool was closed at 6 p.m. which is very early considering how many people were still outside sunbathing but unable to swim the beach bar closed at 7 p.m. again this seems very early the main bar inside stayed open until 11.30 nut wasn't very appealing or comfortable. daily maid service seemed very limited on what they actually did. cups and saucers were changed/cleaned but glasses were left dirty ? the fridge didn't work when you're not in the room because the electricity goes off ? nothing could stand up in the fridge. the TV only showed foreign programmes except one news channel in English

The hotel is not bad. The breakfast is basic. The location and the pool area are great. The service and cleanliness are on point.

First of all ---- NO TERRACE . The room is located in the corridor and the window actually cannot be opened because all the guests pass by there and it is really absolutely unpleasant - as if they are in the room, besides it is quite noisy for the same reason. There is a kitchenette --- BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY EMPTY - only furniture. They refused us a towel for the beach and the pool because we are staying ONLY FOR TWO DAYS AND WE DON'T NEED IT. There was not even shampoo and shower gel in the room but only a MINI bar of soap, as well as a set of disposables. In general, I have never come across such a thing before. In my opinion, the hotel is overpriced. BUT when you are in Crete - these things do not interest you
