Agua Marinha ROSA- Hotel

Breakfast was continental and as such was fine with good choices and we really liked the option to freshly juice oranges. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were lovely with balconies and aircon. Pool was kept very clean too. Hotel was situated in a lovely quiet spot, adults only, and just the right size for us.

It is a family run hotel but we never saw any of the family which was disappointing. The manager was very helpful but not always very obvious - it would have been nice to see him around at breakfast talking to guests. Newer sunbeds with pads would have made the pool area perfect! Apart from those points there was nothing we didn’t like.

Lovely staff - room cleaned and towels changed every day.

Couldn’t pay by card for snacks and drinks- cash only. Sun bed parasols were well past their best - any slight wind sent them flying out of the base and sometimes crashing into other guests. Breakfast item choices were quite limited but very fresh - cafes and restaurants nearby where you could purchase cooked breakfasts if desired. Restaurants and bars closest to hotel only served until 10pm and 11pm - which was sometimes inconvenient as it was 15 to 20 minute walk to find more “nightlife”.

Now 3 years running! That says it all. Small, friendly and adults only. It's quiet and unassuming - perfect for us.

A few noisy guests (4) who upset the mature, quiet atmosphere particularly round the pool.

Breakfast was standard 'continental' cold buffet. Breakfast room quite small ( seats max 20 persons ) and doubled as small bar.

Room was 'quirky' with wardrobe, half of which was being used to house a refrigerator, and a small tv perched high up on the top shelf. There was also a kettle on an old wooden tray, and two old mugs. This layout reduced the amount of hanging space for clothes, and is ok for one person. Not enough for two people, especially if one is a lady! Also no full length mirror. Furnishings looking a little bit tired. Plenty of drawer space though. Best of the room was the balcony, which had open view of the surrounding countryside.
