a&o Dortmund Hauptbahnhof

Good location

Very noisy

The staff were very helpful on places to go and and how to find places I wanted to visit. The closeness to the Train station. It was close enough for me to walk to the Techno Classica at the Messe in around 35 minutes.

The room was cramped, but it had all required.

Staff helped me find back my lost airpods in the room, even after checking out. Solution-oriented service is highly appreciated. Cheers, Floris from Belgium

Comfortable bed

No lift, long stairway... Grumpy spanish receptionist at around midnight on September 28. He was very unpolite and called 2 guests "dumb" because they couldn't open your automatic door at first. This guy needs to learn some lesson. "I just started my shift and blabla. People don't read the signs and this and that". Nobody has to be blamed by your stressful day and job. We are all coming from tiring trips and not familiar with your hostel rules, signs, and most times different country. We have literally NO obligation to know all details of your daily job. We already have our daily info in our brains. Turns out the only dumb person was you, man. Cause you put your job in risk for nothing. Treat people well and be humble in the future. You're not a philosopher or super genius, you're a hostel receptionist. Wake up to reality and do your job a little better next time. 👍
