very poor WiFi and minimal provision for offsetting power outages. It was unnecessary to have to complete the breakfast requirement the night before. Also no opportunity to eat breakfast outside.

We spent great time at this place. We got an upgraded room without any extra-payment. It was really cool. Location is very safe and nice, close to everything. Very good breakfast, we kept satisfied till the late dinner. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful location that was close to the coastline. It was within walking distance to the town area with the restaurants. They are able to laundry for a small fee which was a lifesaver! The staff was extremely kind and respectful and the breakfast was nice as well!

what i loved most was the secure safe parking for my classic car. which made me feel comfortable to walk around the city and beaches without worrying about my car. the room was big, clean and very comfy. the breakfast was very good. the location is also perfect. in walking distance of everything. cooling off in the pool was also amazing.

Honestly only thing that i did not like, is the fact that the weekend had to end and had to go back home

RSA is having a lot of electricity load shedding/power outages and this has been going on for a long time and will continue for some time into the future. The accommodation is not prepared at all for this inevitability. Provision of a cheap plastic torch in the room for guests to use during power cuts is just not good enough in this day and age. Not even a camping light to use? Communal area had 1 low wattage side light in the entrance hall. No lighting in the stairwell or passages at all?! Dangerous situation stumbling around in the dark looking for ones room. This is not a difficult thing to rectify: alternatives such as solar lighting, invertor & battery systems and/or generators are all easily accessible and are absolutely necessary for back up power purposes when one is charging guests for their stay. EDIT TO RESPONSE FROM HOST: I was only in the property from late at night to early morning as was tending to an ill relative the majority of my time; I did not have time to telephone you or anyone else during daylight hours to inform you that your area was experiencing power cuts & had been for months; one would think it would have been obvious if you run a facility in the area. The time I was in the facility I was in the dark with no way to charge my dead phone battery overnight as there was no electricity or back up power generation. Take the advice to sort out the issue or don't take it but don't respond to a paying guest giving an honest review with a reply basically stating, "it's your own fault!"

Our stay at Pelagus was beyond all expectations. The room reserved for the Birthday person in our group, was magnificently decorated, with beautiful flowers, balloons, banners and even delicious cup cakes! The Breakfast was utterly superb. Everything about Pelagus was wonderful and everyone that we dealt with made us feel so welcome. We can't wait to return! Thank you Nadia and your team.

Nothing needs improving! The location, decor, bedrooms, bathrooms, dining room, lounges staff was all superb. The only thing that we did not like was that we only booked one night. We all wished that we had booked to stay for at least a week!
