Hôtel La Tente Verte

Close to the ferry terminal, relatively basic, fairly cheap.

I failed to realise check in closed at 21:00. However the hotel sent a message and we coped

No frills, perfect for a late arrival across the channel before starting a drive across Europe. Super family room with everything we needed. Easy access late at night.

Parking is on the street - we had to park a little way down the road.

Handy for Leshuttle and comfy beds

Decor a bit weird, water in taps cloudy

Hotel well placed for 'pit stop' when arriving late on Dover - Dunkirk ferry and not wishing to cycle on until the following day. The property was easy to find , I was greeted in a friendly / efficient way and offered an inside space to store my bike. The room was fine , comfortable bed , good shower and toiletries were provided. Loon Plage isn't full of places to eat but there are a couple of pizza places within easy walking distance , the one I went to was fine. The hotel was very reasonably priced so maybe wrong to expect too much. Loon Page itself is a pleasant enough place.

It was very quiet ( not necessarily a bad thing ) at the hotel , not sure if there were other guests , but none in evidence . Breakfast was reasonably priced but but sparse and things generally just seemed a bit run down.
