Good value for money, Grand Coloane is a short drive from the casinos and perfect for those wanting alternative accommodation away from the Casinos. The beds are small, we had 2 queen beds (I would say they were Australian double beds) for 2a, 2k., they were comfortable but we were quite squashed.
Breakfast was delicious and well priced. Good options for room service.
Pool was nice and large, with an indoor pool which we mostly used.
The security latch on the door was broken, I would not feel safe if I was a solo traveller because of this.
The porch was tired looking but to be fair it was so hot it was not really usable anyway.

Our son always enjoys staying here when we are in Macau due to the pool. The gardens are lovely, the staff are friendly and it always has a warm and inviting vibe for families. The staff are very friendly and accomodating.

The resort is dated but still comfortable. We went during the weekday and it was rather quiet. There was hardly anyone at the pool. The rooms were spacious. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was good especially the buffet breakfast. We were told that the buffet breakfast doesn't happen every day and we were lucky that we had a buffet on one day of the two days we stayed.
The resort is quite far from places to go and the transportation wasn't very good. The hotel shuttle bus only goes to and fro Grand Lisboa in Taipa and the frequencies were not enough. For example the last shuttle back to the hotel from Grand Lisboa leaves at 6pm. Taxis are not easily available. You need to ask the Reception or Concierge to book or call taxis for you.
