Avra Pahainas

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. The location was perfect, about 14 minutes by car from the port and very close to some of the best beaches on the island. Our room had beautiful sea views, which made our stay even more special. The breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of options, fresh juice, and everything you could want to start the day. It was served by the lovely girl

Very clean rooms and wonderful balcony views

Very low quality breakfast, no feta, cheese, vegetables (tomato, cucumber etc) although greece is the heaven of them.

L’arredo e l’estetica della struttura sono molto belli. La ragazza della reception (Jolanda) è stata veramente gentile e cordiale, sempre disponibile! La posizione ottima: si trova a 5 minuti in macchina da Pollonia e vicinissimo alla spiaggia Papafragas. C’erano anche un sacco di gattini!

Il servizio della colazione: l’ultimo giorno, dopo 30 minuti dall’inizio del servizio, il buffet non era rifornito come al solito e la ragazza addetta alla colazione non ha informato gli ospiti sulle tempistiche del rifornimento.

We stayed at Aura Pahainas during our time in Milos and found the accommodation itself to be pleasant, although our overall experience was unfortunately let down by the service. Our room was above average in size and clean, good air conditioning and a small balcony. the bathroom was good size with a spacious shower and hot water (actually too hot). Plenty of toiletries (too many) and a welcome pack of one bottle of water in fridge, 2 coffee pods and selection of herbal teas. Ioanna always responded quickly to requests via message.

Disappointingly, On arrival, the property felt quite remote, with very few facilities nearby no shops, restaurants nor bars. Only a (almost empty) vending machine onsite with a tiny selection of snacks and drinks. We had arrived before our agreed check-in of 2:30 (ferry schedule change) and simply wanted to leave a couple of bags, whilst we went to the supermarket-reception was closed but staff were around. When we eventually spoke with staff, there was no welcome, they were cold and somewhat dismissive. It was not the warm Greek hospitality we had experienced elsewhere during our island-hopping trip and left us feeling rather unwelcome. Once we checked in, an explanation about not using towels to remove make up or sunscreen seemed unnecessary (staff explained they use Eco Detergent). The welcome pack consisted of a bottle of water and two coffee pods. This same if staying 1 night or 14 nights! Not right. Extra coffee pods €1 each. The room itself was well presented. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed having a small balcony at the front (though the view of the cleaning products and bins wasn’t expected). There is no sea view from inside the room but from the bathroom window at rear of the property by the door. Also see view from the small terrace by the front door. Annoyingly the fire exit light above the door flashed constantly very bright and annoying at night. You could hear the upstairs apartment using the toilet and when it was flushed (day and night) so suggest you request an upstairs room if you want to avoid this! Breakfast, was disappointing. There was no welcome and atmosphere felt tense, (there was a speaker, some low background music would have been nice) no explanation on how to use the coffee machine nor orange juicer. Peggy the waitress appeared stressed and unapproachable throughout our stay.
