St Christopher's Amsterdam - The Winston

The beds in the dorms were so comfortable and staff were really accommodating. Hostel was in a great location, right in the heart of everything. Food was great.

Sheets were slightly stained, other than that the hostel was pretty clean.

Location was excellent.

Hot water was not working in the entire building the first night. Had to wait until the next day to shower, etc. Was not good after a long hot day of walking and travel.

It was only a short walk from Central St. It was easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out was quick and there are lockers to store your luggage if you arrive outwith check in. Rooms are clean and comfortable with one fresh towel provided. Showers and separate toilets were immaculate and cleaned daily. Breakfast provided but I missed it 2 mornings out of 3. It was good value for money. The bar is open til late but on the 4th floor I could barely hear it.

I didn't come across anything negative. I would suggest a helpful "etiquette guide" for new "hostellers"...I wasn't sure about the do's and don'ts of sharing with others.

Room was clean, location perfect: very close to the station.

Beds are not great.
