Our stay at DCO suites was incredible, after a week of adventuring around Peru it was exactly the tonic we needed. From the moment we arrived (with our welcome champagne) to when left, the staff were faultless. The check in was really efficient and easy with QR based system. They staff at the restaurant were very attentive and the food was great (we particularly enjoyed the long, relaxed breakfasts either in the room, at the pool or restaurant). The rooms were lovely with huge beds, great showers and stunning views from the balcony too. The beach side lounge area was extremely relaxing and it became evident after a short period of time they picked a great part of the beach as it was not full of rocks like other areas up and down from the hotel which meant you could swim straight from the hotel. We had an issue with our flight and the hotel calmly helped us rebook taxis and accommodated us for an additional night at very last minute. It was a fantastic stay.

It was 15min tuk tuk to the town of Mancora, although I think this was a good thing too as it meant it was very relaxed.

The food was incredible, every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented! We felt that we had one of the best locations on the beach as other hotels and resorts we passed had more rocks or were busier. The staff was also very helpful, from greeting us with sparkling wine to arranging transportation etc, they were quick to assist with anything, consistently going above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

The road to the location wasn’t well maintained, but I assume that is a municipal issue out of DCO’s control.

We stayed at DCO from August 10 to 15, 2022 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the experience was like no other. I had never felt so pampered and taken care of in a hotel, and we travel about very often. We decided to buy the full package at the spa (approx. 450 soles), and we are glad we did, as we had a fantastic time. Maria, the lady at the spa, took great care of us. We started by having a sauna session with local herbs infusion. We then had a couples massage ( they had a selection of lavender, lemon and Jazmin oils) and finished using the Jacuzzi. The experience lasted about 2 hours and a half. It was a very lovely and relaxing experience to celebrate our anniversary. The package included a bottle of champagne, and we made mimosas. The view was also amazing. The hotel, in general, was a fantastic choice. There are about 6 to 8, so it did not feel busy. The installations were clean, and the location at Positas beach was great. The beach was pristine and not busy at all. The hotel has a mobile gym which we enjoyed. They have sandbags for weights, yoga mats, resistance bands, tennis rackets and balls, and the like. The service was the best we have had; everyone greeted you with a smile, they were willing to help you, and they were very accommodating. Jorge, Pedro and Fernando were always asking if we needed anything. It felt like we had a private butler service. They even have daily complimentary tasters with a drink included. At noon they had a frozen towel to help with the heat. We decided to buy a food package for lunch ( about 263 USD) that lasted four days. The food was the best we had in all of Peru ( chef quality taste and presentation). My favourites were the Arroz Aculantrado and the sushi. My husband's favourite dessert was the churros. The chef understood my dietary restrictions and even made a gluten-free strawberry dessert and a gluten-free seafood Jalea, for which I am very grateful as gluten-free food is not easy to find in South America.

EVERYTHING!! Our stay was more than perfect. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves the whole time we were there and despite being fully booked the hotel seemed just for us. The staff are amazing and the food is INCREDIBLE. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. 10/10 will gladly stay there again.
