One minute walking distance from the beach/promenade. There was a very nice clothes shop in the alley leading to the promenade, and restaurants immediately available. Host looked online for a parking space for me. The host made a nice breakfast in the little courtyard. The room had a spare single bed which was separate from the double room, which could have been used at no extra charge.

the ladies are lovely hosts. very accomodating. Good breakfast with bread , cheese, salami , coffee, orange juice and a hot option which changes. room was clean. centre of town , very close to beach . coffee shop / bar around the corner. Mercadona and a Spar within a very short walk. communal kitchen with fridge but does not have a cook top. bed comfy but would like better pillows .. but then I am fussy with pillows ! air con in the room , although we never found the remote control , ceiling fan and a radiator . there is a small but friendly dog here who will be your friend at breakfast ;) Personally, I’d touch up some peeling paint in the room .
the dog next door that hates anyone passing by . there are 2 but one is very annoying & I love dogs !

The staff are all amazing, super helpful with recommendations of the area and prepared a delicious breakfast for us! The room is very comfortable, and the whole BnB is very cozy and relaxing with tons of plants and quiet places to sit and enjoy both indoors and outdoors. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the beautiful Costa Brava region!

Marakaza is home Away from home. The hospitality / the warmth / the food .. just everything about this place was magic. Highly recommended. Don’t waste your time trying to find another place to stay. Gisela our host was the kindest soul. She gave us great tips of what to see and where to go. Breakfast was nice and very personalized. Could get a full vegan version. The location is very close to the beach. Loved all the plants everywhere.

it’s charming, like a little oasis, and the owner clearly cares about the guests and their stay.
the location is difficult to find though if you contact them, they will direct you. it’s a problem with google maps, not the property.

The garden is nice and the host was very helpful with good recommendations. The breakfast was also pretty good.
The room was a bit sparse. The shower had a curtain that wasn't very clean-looking and unfortunately the drain was clogged, but it was an one-off issue.

The room was quite, well equipped, with air conditioning, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice. It looks like that you are in a nice country house, but inside the city. In addition, the value for money was very good.
It obviously, does not have the facilities of large hotels, such as swimming pool and it is not by the sea, but I was not looking for such facilities.

Really welcoming and friendly staff, it feels like home and the beautiful plants in the courtyard are a great touch. The breakfast is terrific and the little kitchen is well stocked for making simple food during your stay. It's very peaceful and a short walk to the beach.
It's not their fault but google maps takes you to the wrong street - go one street further away from the beach to find the entrance.

Nice, simple but comfortable room. Little kitchen and fridge to store food and drinks or prepare lunch. Great breakfast and very nice attentive staff.
We took our 1 year old dog and all the staff were lovely and friendly with him. There’s also a big enclosed grassy park very close by that’s great for a run around off lead.

- Friendly hosts and good conversation; respect of privacy
- Lovely patio full of plants and other nice stuff
- Home local breakfast, nicely served
- Close to the beach
- Possibility to cook by yourself on shared kitchen
- A cute hosts' doggy as a bonus
- A mosquito bit us once :) the fumigator was apparently turned off
- Otherwise no minuses at all

The owner was very helpful. There were some nice quirky touches to the property. A very individual and memorable place to stay in a quiet part of town. But central to the beach and restaurants
The room was a little bit airless but had a good fan and air-conditioning
