The staff are very helpful. The room was spacious and had an amazing sea view. Good strong wifi. Load shedding does NOT affect them as they have a back up which I have come to appreciate travelling in South Africa. The location is safe but you have to Uber anywhere. Good if you have a car. Beautiful gorgeous boardwalk is 20 min walk away!

I think value for money. If it was a bit less expensive I would have given it a 10. They upgraded my room to a sea view (because Alam is so kind and wonderful) but I can’t imagine paying 50$ to NOT have that view. Maybe the price is for the area of UmHalanga- not sure but overall I would still recommend this place for sure. I had a great stay. I saw all the breakfast comments and it’s true. Maybe FRESH coffee and BETTER bread and fresh cut up fruits would help BUT THAT BEING SAID I was given apples and bananas and they made me oatmeal to accommodate so often it’s better just to communicate instead of waiting to give poor reviews.

I didnt like how there was no communication about breakfast times during the week, staff knocked on my door an hour before breakfast ended to let me know about the change in times. I thought since i had earlier mentioned i dont eat pork they would have replaced the bacon with macon to compensate. Omelette was full of tomato relish🙄

Definitely not a 4 star. We got a room at the back with a view on the neighbour's back garden. His spotlight shone into our room the whole night. Block-out curtains would help. The staff are very laid back. Very noisy and slouching on the couches in the afternoons. The couch pillow in the lounge is torn , silk flowers need a clean and rearranging. We had the same basic breakfast for 5 days. There is one plate with butter, margerine & jam fir all the tables.The way they do their breakfast choices on a piece of paper the day before can be streamlined.

Bed bugs affecting or biting wife all over the body. Little one linen & ours as aldults also not changed for 3 nights we stayed hence bed bugs.
