We had a wonderful stay at Villa Ricardo! We arrived late for check-in but were still welcomed very warmly and openly by Ana and Ricardo! We felt very welcome right away. The villa is spacious, and every bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped. The pool and terrace area are delightful! The location is excellent; you can walk to the charming village, and it is a perfect base for exploring the rest of Madeira/this area by car.
There is a somewhat musty smell in the house. Everything looked neat upon arrival, although the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough in places. A minor point, but otherwise we had a very pleasant stay!

Terras boven, heerlijke leefruimte met uitzicht op zwembad, bananen, zee en de bergen.

Above and beyond hospitality and warm welcome from the host and property manager; Big, spacious space with thought-out amenities - I can see myself living in the house!
Setting expectations for the place - Villa Ricardo is not the most modern house we have stayed in but it definitely has its charm! A couple of things need fixing around the house - shower head attachment, creaking doors hinges and some light bulbs also needed changing but otherwise we really can’t fault the place.
