The Grey Hotel

Loved this boutique hotel. Only about 8-10 rooms. Ours was up a couple of lots of stairs so be prepared to cart your bags up - we had big suitcases. But we were here for 4 nights so once up we were sweet. Lovely staff greeted us and helped us with luggage. Gave some good advice too for restaurants. Nice big room which we appreciated with our luggage. Huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom. We had a little deck off our room with views over towards Table Mountain. Would be great if you're there for a while and in warmer weather. The hotels in a great location - very central to everywhere. We could walk to the stadium where the rugby rivalry game was. Lots of restaurants just a few steps from the hotel, and a small mall. A laundromat about 200m away which was very convenient to us, halfway through our 3 week trip. I want to especially mention the very nice gentlemen who served us breakfast each day. The breakfast options were yummy but he was especially pleasant and smiley. Great way to start the day. This place is definitely a goodie. And we found it to be great value for money.

The Grey is truelly a gem.From my arrival all the staff were so hospitable.The whole vibe of the place is very Mediterranean,you forget that you are in the middle of the city.I stayed in room 13.I found it very comfortable and the mini bar convinient.I love the big beds.Even though there is no ellevator there were staff to help me with my luggage.As a solo traveller I felt safe at the hotel.I found it to be good value for money.

The rooftop bar was closed for the winter season...understandable though.

Perfectly located and walking distance to restaurants and bars. Very lovely and clean property.

The hotel was an acceptable backup since the hotel we booking at originally did not work out. As far as value for money,location and time, it was fine
