This is a lovely property, extremely comfortable bed and incredible furniture, most from an old chateau as I understand. The location is a short drive from town, and behind a locked gate which you access with your room key. The pool area is pleasant, and should you eat the food is exceptional. We had a birthday dinner which was beautifully cooked and presented by a very talented chef.

Check‑in was unusually stressful. Three groups arrived at once, and because access to the locked gate and parking order needed to be managed by the owner, the process felt disorganised and difficult. The room was comfortable, but there was no shower, only a handheld shower head over a bath, which doesn’t constitute as a proper shower. There was also no clear information provided about timings for dinner or drinks in the lounge, and no Wi‑Fi details in the room (we later were told these were downstairs). The owner is very attentive when present, but difficult to locate when not. On departure we were asked to leave a “10” review; personally, I feel that if a property truly merits a 10, guests will give it without being prompted. Overall, parts of the stay were wonderful, but several aspects made the experience less enjoyable than expected.

The evening meal was superb. The area is very tranquil. The member of staff was very attentive.

The details list that the rooms have a shower, however these are not walk-in showers but simply a shower head in the bath. This makes it extremely difficult for a person with a disability to fully clean themselves.
