Diapori Suites Hotel

Beautiful location facing west over the sea with great views and spectacular sunsets. The buildings have been either very sympathetically restored or built from traditional stone and are a fantastic design of large, generous spaces. The huge terrace overlooking the bay is a particular feature. All the staff are charming and helpful. I love a spacious bedroom which we certainly had here. The decor is minimalist polished concrete so no tiles in the shower room and no pictures on the walls. Comfortable large bed. I was relieved that the mattress was not too hard which I find an increasing problem in hotels. A Nespresso machine in the room with capsules replaced daily which is always a bonus. Great buffet breakfast and if you prefer it you can order a strong coffee from the bar. There is an infinity pool with beautiful views and all this a very short walk to the village. The gym is also excellent and the spa offered great firm massages.

Only small things. I could have done with more shelves or a chest of drawers for tops and a shelf under the sink to put towels on. There was no spot lighting over the mirror in the shower room so putting on make up was tricky and a magnifying mirror would have been handy! The chambermaids folded the top sheet every day which meant we had to make the bed every evening. It looks nice, but we had some hilarious moments wrestling with the large sheet! Despite a sign saying only towels left on the floor would be changed, they all got changed every day which is unnecessary in my view.

Modern, very clean and tidy. Lovely surrounding for a relaxing break. The view is amazing and it’s all walkable for the town. The pool area is tidy and never over crowded.

The sign on the roadside is a little difficult to see with the bush growing in front of it. And Bookings location mark is in the wrong place. It’s at least 500m farther down the main road.

Excellent location for a couple. Great pool to use when you don’t want to go around the area.

Hard to find something not good about it.
