We really enjoyed our stay! Great walks to downtown and the Lighthouse. The kitchen is great and there is everything to host a large Thanksgiving dinner. The house is very comfortable and warm with planty of inside places to sit with a large group. Our host got right back to me when there were questions.

The property is stunning. The porch and outdoor space including the pool area were a wonderful place for our large multigenerational family. For an extra fee of 60/day per dog, we had our pets there as well, and they would rate the experience as 5 star. The house is large and had plenty of room but was not an ideal fit for our needs. First, there are only 2 showers amongst the bathrooms, and this proved challenging for my elderly parents. Of the two showers, only one was an option for them because the other was an old style hip bath, which was basically like a tub that had a lower sink sized area to stand in for showering (not really a safe option for anyone with mobility or balance issues.) on the positive side, the water pressure was excellent. The other challenge was that the lighting in the house was not bright enough in some spaces. This was not an issue during the day at all, but did become frustrating after dark. We had one issue with a bat in the house, which we were able to remove safely, and Kim was very responsive and addressed the problem immediately. Overall, we loved the location but felt it was not a match for some of our needs. I also feel that the price was high relative to other properties we’ve stayed at with our group. While we enjoyed our time together, we would not choose this house again.

The house and garden are absolutely stunning with views over the Hudson. Photos do not quite do it justice. Kimberly was easily reachable throughout and left clear rules. She also kindly referred us to a private chef.Would recommend this property to anyone.

This house was everything I wanted to celebrate my August birthday with several friends. The owners were there when we arrived and showed us around the house and gave local recommendations. Through our long weekend, we sat on the porch and drank coffee, we swam in the pool and went for walks, we cooked elaborate dinners, and then we sat on the porch and drank wine. Its a comfortable and well-equipped property, and the view is beautiful. Two recommendations if you go in the summer: bring mosquito repellent (a lot of it), and watch the doors to the bathrooms, because they swell in the humidity (several people got trapped and had to holler for help). :)
