Location, staff, guestroom comfort, private access to river
Temperature of the pool was too hot. The interior design of the spa could be more in line with the aesthetic of the rest of the hotel.

This is such a special place. It is tucked into the rainforest and located on the Rio Celeste. There is a hiking trail and direct access to the gorgeous river, beautiful pool, tons of wildlife and exceptional food. The staff was phenomenal (thank you especially to Nelson, Jason and Ismael!). Our room and the entire hotel felt so luxurious but not pretentious at all. We were really blown away. Definitely one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. Can't recommend highly enough!
Having to leave!

Our Stay in The Hideaway was wonderful! Espacially the staff was exceptionally nice and fulfilled all our wishes! Mariano is the best barman we have ever met and mixed great cocktails at the poolbar. Thank you for amazing holidays we will definitely come again! Alfred and Elisabeth from Vienna, Austria

A fantastic resort nestled in the rainforest. Rooms are large and well equipped. The bed is fantastic. The outdoor shower is wonderful. We saw a lot of cappuccino monkeys playing on the roof. Sleeping with the sounds of nature is a great experience. The restaurant is a place to eat. Great service. Trails in the property are very interesting, offering a chance to dive into the Celest River.

The hotel is surrounded by woods and has a private hiking path to the river. Everything was excellent. Rooms were absolutely magnificent.
The only complaint is the service at the restaurant was slow. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful, but it took a long time for the food to come out.

Gorgeous set up with great connection with the surrounding amazing nature.
The service was excellent. The check in lady not as sweet, but she was probably having a bad day. Overall close to perfection. The service by Nelson was impeccable! thank you for the fantastic time at Rio Celeste.
the check in lady.

This is a beautiful hotel, around a 20 minute walk from the rio celeste waterfall - but you probably want a car! The food was pretty good and staff very friendly. The room was nice and comfortable.
For the price, it was absolutely not worth it. The "mountain view" room was overlooking the road (and some trees), which could be quite noisy at times. Overall, the place was fine, but not worth it. We stayed much better places for much less in Costa Rica.

Everything. The property was pristine and lush. We loved the hot tubs and pool, it was such a relaxing experience after hiking the beautiful trails. Our server, Katherine, was amazing. She had the best recommendations for the most delicious dinner. She made our trip feel even more special.
We didn’t like that we couldn’t live there forever.

Incredible location in a lush rainforest setting. The wildlife is amazing here and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast on site is delicious.. Rooms are very nice and each serves as its own stand-alone cabana complete with a .private garden, balcony, and outdoor shower. Great family experience with a game room and pool - when it's not raining - and trails to hike. Ask about their night walk to look for frogs and other nocturnal animals. Highly recommend this hideaway.
Everything was excellent. Staff gets an A+ and wished we had an extra day to stay and explore the area.

5 stars all around! The resort is beautifully landscaped with a nice trail right down to the blue river from the rooms. The restaurant is open air, but totally free of bugs somehow and there is a cozy game room with a fireplace and games for a rainy day. The tubing excursion was unforgettable. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are huge and include an outdoor shower in a lush garden and a balcony. Would stay again and will recommend to friends.

Fantastic! The houses/rooms are pristine and clean and sit in the lush and beautiful rainforest. Very peaceful and everyone working there is so kind and helpful. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed the pool and the hot tubs a lot! One of the best hotels we stayed in!!
The mattress was a bit hard for my husband. it didn’t bother me though.

The entire experience was very special from beginning to end. The room was very nice, with both an indoor and an outdoor open air shower. A large deck with comfortable chairs to watch and listen to the life inside the jungle, which made you feel like you were a part of it.
All staff members were friendly and courteous. They went out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay for us. The trails on the property allowed us to enjoy the river without the crowds. We only spent one night, but wish we could have stayed longer!
I could not think of anything to improve upon. The price was quite a bit higher than I would normally pay for a hotel room. I’m happy that we received the top notch quality so that we had no regrets!

After 10 days in rainforest lodging we splurged for this hotel for our last nite. Frankly, it was worth twice the high price! Everything, the room, the grounds, the pools, the food, the staff are all Category Luxe. The great part is that the owners have maintained a Pura Vida rural atmosphere for what is a Five Star property. A neat trick. We even were provided a COVID testing service for re-entry into the US at a reasonable price and one hour turnaround. Ive traveled the world and been in many great places. This place scores in the top five.
