Cambridge House Hotel

Value for money

TV didn’t work - no response from the numbers they provided.

The property was spotlessly clean and just served the purpose as we needed it for a night.

Nil. For the value, it is was exactly as we expected.

Habib, the manager, was excellent and accomidating of my earlier than expected arrival time. They were able to take my bags and store these for me. I stayed for work and when arriving later in the evening I found my bags secure in my room waiting for me. Excellent room with a great amount of space and a fantsatic location so close to the train station.

N/A

The hotel was located within the immediate vicinity of the main Railway Station in Cambridge. Check-in was contactless, but was effective, with the door codes sent prior to arrival. The room cleanliness was passable.

The room was covered in dust, which I presume is from the noisy portable AC unit provided (which required an external hose to be placed by the window). The facilities stated laundry machines, but these have now been retracted by the new owners, but had not updated the booking info.. An iron was provided but no ironing board. A bottle of water was provided, but no cups in the room. A makeshift pantry was available where tea bags, paper cups, kettle was positioned and a vending machine. The toilet was highly compact, with the user having to squeeze around the sink and toilet. The overhead showerhead created a useless spray, and the alternative handheld showerhead was defective. The TV remote did not match the TV set and so was unusable. Noise easily spread throughout the building due to the thin door.
