Ormonde House Hotel

Super helpful and friendly staff who accommodated my very late arrival. Hotel was a lucky, last minute find. Small, independent hotel, without the usual corporate (boring) feel of larger chains. Genuine focus on the customer. Everything was spotlessly clean. Modern en suite, huge and comfy double bed. Older style building but has real character and everything worked as it should including sockets near the bed (which are often missing in modern hotels!) Breakfast was served at table with a great choice including lovely Belgian waffle! Highly recommended!

Nothing!

Lovely

Excellent breakfast

The room was very nice, but a bit more attention to detail would improve our stay, lamp shade old and torn, area around tea making facilities needed cleaning , tea splashes on wall and skirting board, enterance very old and worn not at all enviting, carpet in hall and stairs dirty and worn, paint work on stairs and door chipped and old. Generally the enterance was very old and most uninviting. The garden needs attention as looks unkept, with a tidy up could be a pleasant seating area. Eat on one night in ther restaurant ,I had fish cake was very greasy and over booked, breakfast was some what better.Dout if we would stay there again.

Location near to forest, but main rd traffic spoilt silence.
