The facilities was just right for us. The rooms was very tidy and comfortable. We slept very well and had a good night sleep. Breakfast was good and good choices, though tea and coffee facilities could be improved with better equipment and proper large mugs.
When I booked, I wasn't aware of no lifts until after. Its a good place if you are fit and able as the layout of the hotel is wide rather than storage high but I wouldn't recommend for elderly and disabled. I had my elderly mum with me even though we managed, there was too much walking to do.

Staff were very pleasant - great guy on the desk when I checked in
Entered the room and it was like a furnace and smelt quite bad, like a strong sewer smell. I didn’t complain as it was very late and I was exhausted. Didn’t sleep though because of the heat in there. Considering this is an ihg hotel, I’d have expected air con. In this unusually hot weather, the staff should have aired the room before guests check in.
