fantastic location next to the ferry. Great hotel, basic but clean and quirky.

The hotel was amazing. Very quaint and historic. The room size was nice with great accommodations. The location could not have been better...literally across from the ferry so very convenient. There are restaurants/bars on either side and little restaurant for snacks and drinks and included buffet breakfast and the morning. Theres a lovely view of the Lake and amazing and very friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to Varenna.
The only thing I would say is that the bed was pretty hard and so where the pillows period I was still able to have a restful night sleep but they could have been a bit more comfortable

Our room was extremely clean and extremely well kept. The owner said it was built or renovated in 2022. It looked like it was just redone. Kudos to the owner and staff.
Being in front of the ferry landing has advantages and disadvantages. Two to four landings an hour are a bit much. Not the owners problem.
