Lovely friendly staff. Close to airport. Free shuttle to airport and mall. Really tasty food, reasonably priced. Spacious room but odd layout of the suite with bathroom in middle.

Pillows hard and uncomfortable. Outside areas need some improvement.

AC not working led to an uncomfortable night. Supposedly no other rooms were available, and it was a bit surprising that a hotel of this size does not have 24/7 maintenance staff. Unfortunately the restaurant was also out of several items on the menu, though what was available was well prepared

The rooms were larger than expected and clean. The atmosphere was a little oasis in PM, with trees and lush growth. It was pretty awesome to see tree Kangaroos, native deer and other local birds at the hotel. Fish in banana leaf in the restaurant was Yum! The sanctuary hotel staff were the real stars of this location. Super friendly and really wanting to help at every turn. Shuttle service was on time and made the transit easy and smooth. It's really well located close to the nature park (must see), the museum and parliament house. The Australian consulate is nearby also. This place is set up for repeat visits as those who go there will be sure to make it their 'go to' in Port Moresby.It will be our 'go to' when we return.

At times the wifi could have been there, but this was probably the case all over PM.

We really enjoyed the room as it was overlooking the pool giving a beautiful view and it was spacious and comfortable.

I didn't quite like the bathroom set up as the space is quite small. It would be lovely to expend the space abit and add a bath tub.

Staff need to smile more when dealing with guests. Your gesture is very important as it will show what service level of service you provide.

Breakfast was great--excellent coffee, fruit, and I could swop PNG veg for a sausage, which I did everyday. My room was comfortable, and it was nice to have a fridge, kettle, and microwave. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I loved how many plants filled the property, making it an urban garden and adding privacy and noise blocking.

The pool was too dirty to swim in while I was there. Other guests were noisy in the night and woke me up--thin walls plus tiled hallways means very echoey sounds when others are behaving badly. When music was played in the dining room, it was too loud for me to feel comfortable, so I ate in the garden (but the garden is lovely).

Staff are always friendly and professional.

Break fast was great and free love the PNG menu the room was clean and tidy and the staff very helpful. The drop off too was provided free of charge at the main city locations

Nothing to mention

The vegetation was pleasant and serene. You wouldn't think that your still in the city. It was quiet and good to get away from the noise pollution.

Rooms were hot when we first arrives and had to leave the AC running for awhile until the room got cooler. Otherwise it was still comfortable.

The hotel actually lives up to the name Sanctuary, a quiet and neat setting with birds and fish, even a turtle was a nice sight. The setup itself was great!

We booked the rooms because of their balconies however we could not use them because they were locked. A real let down for us. Probably due to Covid-19? However, it would have been nice if this was stated clearly on their booking.com page for us to consider.

Breakfast was good and location was go too.

The Room

Unfortunately the pool was closed so was the pool Bar maybe due to covid. My only complaint with the sanctuary is you have no access from your room to this relaxing area. You must go outside and enter via the carpark. This is most annoying.. the only other small thing is Breakfast. It is 6 good but I think wasteful. To many local vegetables on the plate. Better to scale down but keep the good quality..Would I stay again.. Yes it was about my 6 th stay there..

The room was excellent, food was great. The environment was peaceful and relaxing and safe The customer service was exceptional

Pool was under maintenance

Big meals and excellent prices. Wonderful staff always ready to help, love the birds.
