beautiful and spacious with olive grove and grand entrance rustico and big pool and ancient farmhouse with lots of Terrasse and rooms charming with aircon and suites well spaced and great breakfasts of local produce. very close to Seglia Messapica a charming gastromony village and great location to tour countryside. Best of all are the most charming hosts Pia and Nicola so kind and helpful and charming and Support staff Alesso and Vanessa also great.

Staying at Masseria Montecchie was like staying in a friend's beautiful home. We were welcomed by the owner Pia who was absolutely charming. The property is gorgeous situated just outside of the village, Ceglie Messapica, surrounded by big beautiful olive groves. We had a lovely apartment with a bedroom and separate living space with a comfortable fold out couch. There was also a kitchenette but we chose not to cook. We had breakfast included every morning in Pia's kitchen, where she served her homemade orange marmalade and cakes, in addition to amazing croissants and cappuccino, fresh fruit and meats and cheeses. At night, there were ample lovely restaurants in Ceglie Messapica - favorites included Cibus and Ristorante da Giuseppe. We chose this location because it was centrally located in Puglia and we knew we wanted to see towns both to the north and south. Don't miss Monopoli and Otranto in addition to Lecce and Alberobello! It was a treat to stay at Masseria Montecchie - highly recommend!

Masseria full of charm with a pleasant family atmosphere thanks to the very friendly and welcoming staff, always ready to advise us and help us if needed. We had a room with a great view of the city. Varied breakfast with a delicious homemade orange jam. Very good location near the towns to visit nearby.

The shower was a bit too narrow. The swimming pool was a bit too cold for us.

As soon as we pulled onto the driveway we knew it was going to be an awesome stay. We were welcomed by the lovely hosts Pia & Nicola with open arms and together with Alessia they showed us around. We were astonished by Masseria Montecchie; it’s a beautiful, quiet and authentic place where you just can relax and be away! The swimming pool and the breakfast, with fresh ingredients from the garden, are great highlights. As the Masseria is located ideally (very central; close to Ceglie Messapica) it is the perfect place to stay for a longer period of time and discover the rest of Puglia from there. We stayed 8 days at this masseria, and had a wonderful time. Ther is no airconditioning, and even with the heath in July this was not an issue because of the thick walls. We stayed in Strelizia, ground floor appt, and had an outside terrace to eat and rest. The swimming pool is very refreshing with a view to Ceglie. Ceglie suprised us as a very vivid and lovely town, only 2 km away. Breakfast is served in a nice area inside the masseria, with home made jam, croissants, cheese and cake. The owners were going out of their way to make uour stay perfect. Thsnks a lot for all your efforts! Ritorniamo!

Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome by the host as well as a welcome appetizer with prosecco which we appreciated. The property is very atmospheric with a great pool. Our room was very spacious and authentic with a nice view on ceglie messapica, which is a must to visit for its great food and evening ambience. Angelo was most helpful providing us with great tips regarding any matters. The place is very quiet in the evening great for relaxation. For breakfast we received a very good coffee and the homemade orange marmelade was delicious!

Be aware that there is no air conditioning in the room, watch out for mosquitoes even though a mosquito net is installed on the window of tge bedroom. Breakfast was ok but simple ( industrial juice bread and ham). Much to our surprise, cold drinks were served in plastic cups every morning which is not acceptable in 2021. This is definitely a point for immediate improvement. The common table on the terrasse was not regularly cleaned.

We really loved our stay at Masseria Montecchie. The surroundings are beautiful, the apartment was clean and comfortable and the pool is very lovely! The breakfast was very nice as well! (their homemade marmelade was so delicious!) We loved the hospitality and kindness of the hosts and their staff, such lovely people who really wanted to reassure that we had a great stay!

Availability of the hosts, kindness and helpfulness

The photos don’t do the property justice. It’s absolutely beautiful, surrounded by olive trees on all sides. It is only open summer months and is owned and run by a lovely couple from the local town. It’s perfectly located to visit so many little towns and also the sea. We will absolutely be returning for a longer stay. The house is very cool but we asked for a fan and they brought it to our room immediately. Breakfast was lovely too with a different homemade cake each day.

I liked the kindness of the hosts. They where very helpful and friendly. They showed them their masseria. They grow their own vegetables and fruits!! And they made this delicious jam! You can tell that they love their home and welcoming guests. The hosts remind me of my aunts and uncles. My mother, sister and I felt very welcome and at home. It is a nice place to stay.
