Used the apartment as a base for two legs of the francigena way with my wife and kids (the apartment is near the station, allowing to use it as a finish for Siena-Ponte a Tressa and a base for Ponte a Tressa-Buonconvento coming back by train and starting again the day after from Buonconvento taking the first train in the morning) and it was nearly perfect. The apartment is a bit old style, but spacious and comfortable. We never met the host, but she was kind enough to provide for fresh water in the fridge at arrival and with enough breakfast food to last for the two mornings we were there (the fresh cherries were a really nice touch). The apartment has a small supermarket and a bar nearby (do NOT buy sandwiches there in the morning, they are horribly overpriced) and, if you are on the francigena, there's a wonderful, if hard to see, public fountain that gives pure, ice cold water (sparkly too, for 5 cents/liter). The only thing to consider is that the bedrooms face a busy road, which didn't do anything to us as we were so exhausted we would had slept even if a band were playing in the living room, but if you have a light sleep and you need to go to sleep early (traffic comes down noticeably after midnight), you might consider having earplugs with you. Overall, a very nice stay and an excellent price/quality ratio.

Essentially, nothing I didn't like.
