Flamboyant Villa Ubud

A hidden jewel away from the hustle & bustly from Ubud. I had a large room with a spacious balcony overlooking the garden. In the middle of the garden there is a swimmingpool where you can swim 24hours a day 🥰.

Staff were lovely and rooms very comfy.

Nice large suite with lush gardens and nice pool. Although the western restaurants are a little walk up the street, try the local warungs nearby, especially RM Bunya! The Nyuh Kuning village is a beautiful location and you can access Ubud central via the scooter track through the Monkey Forest.

Booked suite for 5 nights and told when we arrived that it was unavailable for first night and had to stay in standard room and they would move us the next day. Next day was moved to a different type of suite to what we had booked. Kettle did not work - told staff this but it was not replaced. Some general maintenance around the complex was lacking. Sun loungers positioned directly under coconut trees!

Oasis of calm bar the cockerel in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Compact pool but sufficient for our needs. The Junior suite was very spacious and the kitchen/dining area suitable for 4 people to seat around and have take away dinners. Nice balcony. Didn't use the cooking facilities so can't comment on those. Bedrooms on the 1st floor are spacious. Good pressure in the shower and comfy beds. Plenty of nice restaurants and cafes nearby. Convenient to walk to town but beware of the motorcycles on the path. Breakfast nice fresh juices and fresh fruits. Happy to organise days out with a driver. Very helpful when we struggled to book a food delivery.

The bedrooms on the ground floor could do with a lick of paint. There is also a damp smell and we could not use the wardrobe because of this. Breakfast:The pancakes were very thick, no choice of teas or just toasts. Given the fact that there is a nice bakery just up the road maybe there should be an option for bakery items. We ended up not having breakfast at the property. No shuttle service to town. Would need a taxi to go to Ubud in the evenings as the path is not lit up.
