Park Regis City Quays

i have read contradicting reviews online so had low expectations but overall everything went well. - received info to do the online check in before and that allowed the key to be ready for my arrival (reception closes at 8pm) - room is quite comfy and seems recently updated/rennovated - good/fast wifi - very clean and cleaning services were provided every single day - good quality of sleep (did not hear any noise) - 10-15 min. to central station (Kuranda train) and 7-8 min. to the port (for reef tours), very convnenient - staff very polite

- reception only works 8am-8pm. for a location that most tours depart between 7-730am that is disappointing. i was lucky that on my last day i took the train to Kuranda which leaves quite later so I was able to store my luggage. - book via booking.com, seems that you get "better" rooms than via booking direct (based on comments on other platforms) - expensive overall but maybe better than the other hotels in the area

Location and price

Close to where I had to go

Both The lifts were out of order one day and every other day 1 of the 2 lifts were not working

After hours check in was good. Parking good. Comfortable bed.

Aircon did not work. Room somewhat outdated, felt like a motel.
