Good location (& well served by buses), friendly staff, reception smart, room was small/dated, but clean & comfortable for 1 night.
Communal hall & stairways were shabby/stained (carpets in particular). Plumbing (noisy) & soundproofing not great but was OK for 1 night.

The bedding and bathroom were spotless and the room came with a kettle and tea/coffee supplies next to the bed which was lovely. There was also a tv which we hadn't expected at all. The location was very convenient with a bus stop and many food options within easy walking distance.
The building was quite old with carpeting that definitely needs replacing and the room was quite small. Even the hallways were rather cramped. Given the price, though, these things didn't bug us too much. One of the milks with our tea things had turned into cheese, however, which was a problem.

Second time staying here. Staff were amazing as before, very helpful and friendly. The room was large and clean, lovely large window and high ceilings.
Stayed during the heatwave and there was no fan/aircon in the room so it was very very hot! We did have fans last time though so perhaps just an oversight.
